BD, is the Chicago mining pool down?

CG1 is due to go offline until needed

mining has stopped waiting on blocks to mature and payouts to process ~8hrs

it is not the future / not a near or far future...........................

There is much chaos regarding 'startups' , pending regulation and the stern refusal of almost all services and exchanges to base alternative coins accepted/ or traded on concepts of superior technology,  security , honesty, lack of premined coins, and future potential.

(the majority instead adding 'coins' controlled by affiliated parties or obvious inferior systems to blake 256 )

i.e. shapeshift io (a site I personally like by design) accepts dash which enjoys some popularity but in security vs. blake 256 pitts a weakend chaining of 11 algorithms vs. 1 strong one

This same service accepts several other coins (whose names are beneath my even mentioning they are so poorly designed /cloned/ fair ) that are proof of stake only that were instamined in days after launch.

So with much less flair I can summarize it for you:

The deck of cards may be stacked right now by a few services and power brokers but based on my ongoing research and observation of events :

Predicting the future of crypto currency right now would be like predicting an exact description of todays web protocols and structure integrated into the planet more and daily on this date in 1993

Here we go: http://battlecoin.org

The future is here!

might want to put it under BTC thread no BLC support Cry

Edit:
spoke to admin and said it does not support BLC as they use shapeshift and getting on shapeshift you need  Huh (more than just asking thats for sure)   Wink

if thats the future then please just shoot me now  Roll Eyes

Check out my coin Photon

The reason why I brought the argument here is that blakecoin has always been intended as a game currency.

I believe that somehow we need to get the inflationary aspect of BLC into peoples heads as nobody is going to waste large amounts of BTC on some bomberman clone. (The user count on that site is now down to next to none).

But in at the same time there is no way to buy BLC with credit cards so if I make my multiplayer system support BLC I also need a visa/mastercard to BLC conversion system. Yep that's what we need to get the ball rolling is my guess.

I'm betting every online game on the planet will have some sort of crypto currency built into it at some point, let's try and make it BLC shall we?

so what you are specifically trying to attract is casual gamers who only know how to buy things with visa/mastercard? is that your only future?

what I see is an emerging technology still in the works and with many Banks themselves working on integration/alternatives

even with mobile devices there is still quite a few different paywall/IAP/gateway providers depending on the platform/marketplace

as most people know paypal has issues with crypto currency which is a shame as I do have a business account maybe this will change in future!

currently as you know there are political issues with FIAT direct (accounts frozen/closed) and often entry ($BTC$) requirements to payment providers/gateways? *happy to be corrected here!

BLC <-> $: conversion was available in the past but min volume was too low and my funds are still frozen/extra slow repay on that exchange might get it back 2020+ or maybe not  Cheesy

crypto <-> crypto: this is not an issue and also has some tax benefits with current views here!

not going to spend my time on this atm but others are most welcome to help out in this area and I know Cinnamon has been trying Cool

rupy as part of the community and a BLC supporter you are most welcome to whip out your visa/mastercard and try and accelerate integration with one of the payment providers/gateways that offer visa/mastercard Roll Eyes

Note: Don't Expect the devs to do everything you want, if it is that important then make sure it is done.  (especially if it is not a current priority for the devs or effects project budget)

The way I view the Blake256 Machine is very simple,

Here is the fastest, most efficient and secure algorithm that is available for anyone who wish's to capitalize on its creation.

There are several Blake256 Crypto-Coins already created merged mined together all moving along in harmony.

Anyone who can recognize the potential of the Blake256 algo, does not have to seek permission from anywhere to use any of the crypto coins in any type of solution they want to create. If you have an idea and can physically do the work to bring it into reality, then do so.

Like every currency, fiat or crypto there needs to be perceived value created before anyone will garner interest in such, just by setting up a way to buy crypto with a debit/credit card does not mean more people will get involved.

So for rupy, by creating your game using blake as the currency you help to move the machine forward, as more developers release there ideas for the blake256 algo the machine moves forward, it will garner interest and thus creating a perceived value for the crypto.

I am not a developer by any means, My support is bringing currently about 45 G/hash to the Blake256 Machine.

does anyone have the verilog source code for Lancelot FPGA board? (tri core version)

its on kramble's github (LX150-FourGatedClk) and it can go upto quad core but as I have said Xilinx ISE 14.7 does not build the design very well and its luck if you get a good fmax bitstream, took hundreds of iterations and tweaking of setting to get the tri core built to a good fmax that was better hashrate than the dual core version good luck  Cheesy

just as a note looking at your posts blake2b is more similar to blake512 not blake256
Quote
BLAKE-256 and BLAKE-224 use 32-bit words and those output digest size are 256 bits and 224 bits, while BLAKE-512 and BLAKE-384 use 64-bit words and those output digest size are 512bits and 384bits
might get even more routing congestion so dont expect too many cores or high fmax

blake2s is the newer version of blake256 based on 32bit words but is 10 rounds so speed is slightly slower than the 8 round blake256 used in BLC and merged coins

I never did see the point of using a larger hash than data as you need to pad the hash with junk and then trim and often its this padding that leads to ways to retrieve the data as the padding is a know value!!!! (Differential cryptanalysis)

make sure you have latest build: here

backup you app data umo folder

delete app data content apart from your wallet dat and conf *can also keep the blocks it will have less to download and might sync quicker

add nodes to conf:
addnode=23.92.75.220
addnode=146.185.135.24
addnode=eu3.blakecoin.com
addnode=at1.blakecoin.com
addnode=la1.blakecoin.com

once done fire up wallet and see if that will sync

if you still have issues I can make a bootstrap.dat

Cheers BD Grin

- That's a newer version than is listed on UMOs' own thread! (0.8.14.1)
- and I didn't have a .conf at all Sad - (What's the right name for it? UniversalMolecule.conf? Or uncapitalised?)

Anyway, it's currently resyncing. Hopefully bootstrapping won't be needed.

I have contacted Bittrex about the notice Huh

Currently working on 0.8.9.6 wallet which will fix the invalid signatures with crafted length, update some dependencies and of course add more checkpoints it will be a recommended update

Edit:

0.8.9.6 release: https://github.com/BlueDragon747/Blakecoin/releases/download/0.8.9.6/blakecoin-qt.exe

tested on win 10/win 8.1 but any issues let me know  Cool

I will also try to update and build for the other merged coins either today or tomorrow done check the github releases or here

Edit2:
made a revert on upnp paths for Linux build for Windows just create a sub folder and copy headers in  Roll Eyes

The BLC wallet works fine on my Win7 rig, great work BD Grin

But that link you gave for the others just goes

Quote
The server at blake_wallets_dec2015.7z can't be found because the DNS look-up failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.

Just in case no-one has told you, EU3 has been getting interrupted, usually just for a few seconds but enuff to force a switch to NY, at pretty frequent intervals all day.
