Hi I'm trying to get reaper working for solo mining
but somehow my stale is always 100%...

Quote
GPU 58.67MH/s, shares: 50|0|50, stale 100%, GPU errors: 0%, ~62481.3 kH/s, 3437s
GPU 58.68MH/s, shares: 50|0|50, stale 100%, GPU errors: 0%, ~62426.9 kH/s, 3440s
GPU 58.67MH/s, shares: 50|0|50, stale 100%, GPU errors: 0%, ~62408.7 kH/s, 3441s
GPU 58.67MH/s, shares: 50|0|50, stale 100%, GPU errors: 0%, ~62390.6 kH/s, 3442s
GPU 58.67MH/s, shares: 50|0|50, stale 100%, GPU errors: 0%, ~62372.5 kH/s, 3443s‏

my configs look like:
in appdata blakecoin.conf:

Quote
listen=1
gen=0
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8772
daemon=1
server=1

blakecoin.conf in reaper.exe directory
Quote
host 127.0.0.1
port 8772
user username
pass password

protocol blakecoin

worksize 64
aggression 18
threads_per_gpu 1
cpu_mining_threads 0
vectors 1

reaper conf:
Quote
kernel reaper.cl
save_binaries yes
enable_graceful_shutdown yes
long_polling no

mine blakecoin

device 0

Reaper can only use my Intel IGP (somehow it fails at my GTX765M...)
any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I tried reaper on Litecoin and it works fine...

looks like it is working, if it fails to solve the block that counts a stale in reaper when solo mining

see the image below as an example of reaper running normally

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Why should I mine BLC instead of other altcoins?
Or otherwise: What makes BLC better?

Why should I mine BLC instead of other altcoins?
Or otherwise: What makes BLC better?

1. the modified blake-256 algorithm is 2x-3x faster than sha-256d so you get more hashes which gives you more chances of finding the block hash when mining
2. the reward for mining only increases over time unlike most other coins Bitcoin/Litecoin
3. good over the long term and uses a more efficient hashing method than most other crypto coins  Cool

Is the system still working?
All of my blocks mined last night are shown as "Generated but not accepted"...
Any hints?

Just a simple question, someone should already asked, but I could not find it.
Why not use Keccak but Blake? We know Keccak was chosen as the implementation of SHA3.

Ok, the pool is in open-beta now!

https://www.blakecoinpool.org/

You must download cgminer from the Getting Started page on the pool, the other miners posted on this topic will not work properly!

Please PM me any bug/issue/glitch/suggestion, I will gladly help you Smiley

I'm using kramble's blakefpga version. Worked perfectly until yesterday... Strange...

I am also using this setup. After reading the requirement of a special cgminer version, I did not
even try to use the pool.
But it's a very good sign that the first pool did show up!
Keep on the good work!
