It's a bit scary if we compare the 50 000 Sol/s / 620 Watt = 80.6 Watt/Sol ratio with the current Nvidia GPU 50 000 Sol/s / 12 500 Watt = 4 Watt/Sol ratio. That makes ASIC miners over 20 times more efficient in power consumption. It really amplifies the importance of ZHash algo change in the fight against centralization represented by ASICs. -------------------------- BitcoinZ: In Decentralization We Trust

From what I am reading here and there, looks like other Equihash coins will maybe be changing up algo. I'm hearing ZClassic, ZenCash as well. Don't quote me on this lol
As far as these ASICS, I think many will become high dollar door stops sooner than later.... Only the very first to posses will make any money but will be short lived. Just not worth it.

ROI on that Asic would probably be negative and it would destroy the coin because of skyhigh diff and gpu miners don't bothering to mine any more.

Ya really its like bringing a 50 caliber machine gun to a knife fight. 50,000 SOLS? who ever owns one will be alone on the same pool with others that have the same hash power and spinning their wheels making no money on a coin that no one is buying as a result. I think with this announcement we will see more devs moving their coins away from ASICs. WORD OF ADVICE to BTCZ devs - don't wait to to make the change to ZHASH after ASICS drive up the difficulty or it will be an ugly transition. Just went through a week of hell with ETN making the algo change back to GPU and its still not quite right yet.... and has been very costly for the devs team to implement now.

Any information if BTCZ will still be mineable with 3gb 1060?
ZHash in its current state is able to mine BTCZ with 2.6GB of RAM which is less than 3GB. The 1060 3GB card is the lowest end card we want to support. As far as I know, as long as it is not being used as a video card by windows, then it should be able to mine. Thank you. And you guys are awesome. Keep up the good work. Maybe add dev donation in the new miner if it's being developed by you. I'd gladly support it as this gives me the option to chose whatever pool I want and still keep donating to BTCZ team.

When you give away coins they will be traded and traded and traded a lot of time while someone waits for the price to go somewhere else.
Could be a bigger favor just saving it.
Wow. Weekend is here.

Sunday! Remember to lower temp limit in MSI afterburner to 60 (yes 60! Degrees.) if your rig goes wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! in a very loud and aggressive fashion. It wil stay around 63 degrees. Don't be confused about that. It is as good as it gets. It is the coins your are after. Not the noise. PS: It cost approx 20% sol. Maintenance means buying time. BTCZ is disabled due to technical works and updates! Please, be patient, dear Users https://twitter.com/stocksexchangerBTW. I have updated to latest wallet version. Inherited errors came with the upgrade. (Annoying splashscreen with complaints about "invalid or watch-only addresses.")

Overwrite with the one from the zipfile. Backup first. (Just make a copy of the old folder if you are lazy and have the keys). If it goes as planned you should get version number 1.2.1. We have normality.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Iw8qUTLBok
