Government banning bitcoin, it would not be easy. But, google would be banning it, well, it would be another story. Is it really possible?

Be very wary of relying on JavaScript for security on crypto sites. The site can change the JavaScript at any time unless you take unusual precautions, and browsers are not generally known for their airtight security.

i will guess that 95-99.9% of ico and crypto ads point towards either worthless crap, scams or good old plain phishing sites. it would be no great loss to anyone other than the scammers themselves.

and people here don't adblock? i've never seen any of these ads. all the stuff you're looking for doesn't need to be advertised. you search for it. that's what google's for.

I read an article about this please take a look

https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/exclusive-google-quietly-purging-cryptocurrency-ads-content/

I'm not sure if this is true
what are your idea about this?

The reason why google are banning accounts and mostly of those accounts are cryptocurrency related, is because of some violations and abuse. In my opinion even if we post crypto ads as long as we follow the rules and guidelines of google then there is nothing wrong. Just like facebook, though they are banning crypto-ads but if you are not spamming your post will not be blocked or banned.

There are no official published article regarding Google will ban ICO and crypto related ads, so it simply means that it can be considered as a "rumor" for now. Let's just wait on upcoming news about this rumor, if it's official or not.

I hope this will not become a policy but if it becomes their policy then it's time for the community to set up Google ad like advertising network, it's their loss anyway, they could have made millions of dollars of profit from products and services that offer cryptocurrency.

google wont banned anything unless its required by a certain government, google is gaining income by traffic and they care nothing about any issues.whats important to google is transparency,if the PORN SITES are Allowed by google.then why would they Ban ICO?and why not stop reading articles when this are the reasons why market is dropping for how many times

Even in this article it is said that no official statements had been made. I think those banning had been done against scamming and other suspicious activities.

I don't think they banned it. Still, I can see ICO ads on many websites that using Google Ads. Even in the search ads, you can see a lot of advertising before the original content. Here is an example is taken 3/12/2018; 2:02 PM (GMT):

So, it's a fake news that Google banned ICO related ads.

I heard this information last night. Currently, there have been no official announcements from Google about the ban on ICO-related ads and cryptocurrency, but the article mentions email replies from google, and they said that they have not changed their advertising policies. It is likely that the number of ads of ICO projects dropped sharply recently, causing many to suspect. Please wait for official information

First of all google is a search engine and a form of businedd. A business entitty only think about profit if by at its extreame. Now there are somefactors which really have a bad impact on society. For a certain group of people. Something may be legel in my country can be ilegel in other part of the country at the same time. Google is for world its service which is provided by world wide. advertisement is an awesome source of income. Then why google shouldn't advertise it. Unless team google is not direclty owner or creator of any coin and if that has a bad impact then google would have not advertise or close the project to protect the good will
But the fact is if today google launch any ICO or any crypto currency it will definately cross the bitcoin.
TRUST is religion. religion always evergreen.

Google likes money, they make their money through advertisements, I don't see google going out of their way to go ahead and ban a revenue source from a very large entire field, it just doesn't make sense. Would you as a company willingly cut yourself out of a market when competitors definitely won't?
That is right, google is not going to ban such ads, because they are payed for that and the second is that still majority of countries do not have any statement about bitcoin that either bitcoin is legal or illegal. Therefore i do not think that bitcoin can create any issue for google and that is why they will continue accepting ads about crypto currencies and ICO.

I don't think so. I don't have to worry about that.
Because the profit from the ICO advertising to Google is amazing, if it is not restricted by very strict laws, then I think Google will not give up such a big profit.

If that is what you are relying on, then Facebook also should not have ban any ICO ad thinking the amount of fund generated from that point. Before you can conclude that the profit from ICO is that amazing, do you have access to their books. It might surprise you that profit from ICO might only contribute just a small percentage of their revenue which they might be willing to let go when decisions gets to that point.

Again, when companies take decisions, not all is based on profit, its sometimes for strategic reasons. If they use Google in China, I am sure that they won't display ICO ads because China has banned it would you now say they would continue displaying it because of the amount of profit they generate? And what would you say about the forum admin that stops selling ad to ICO promoters, you think its only about profit? Another reason would be the trust in the crypto market which is gradually reducing with the amount anomalies going on and for a company seen as supporting that, they are gradually losing their credibility. In all they can do it and nothing will happen.

I don't think any official news has been published regarding this one. Anyway did you read the article completely? The article itself gives us proof that the crypto ads have not been banned yet and neither they are thinking to do so. Just check the snapshot from the article writer and you will see the mail conversation with google says that they have not banned any ads and there is issue with platform for displaying the ads at all.

Also, crypto currency is big market for the platform like Google because Crypto currency projects invest heavily on the ads and thus google benefit a lot from that.

In my interpretation Google will be ban the ICO or any crypto related ads is not true just only a rumors, why Google looking on that ICO or crypto is not illegal and there was nothing rules in Google disobeyed by the ICO or crypto. and if that banning will be happen is not now may it will take a couple of years or decades. Just a rumors. you may now continue and invest ICO or cryptocurrency.

I am very sure this is part of effort made by those who want bitcoin dead by any means possible. It obvious, this was the hand work of those who hate crypto and they try use big organization like Google to get in their plans, but i think it won't work, because, as you rightly observed, Google actually get their benefits on adds so, what is the rational behind the plan ban?

As I know the total number of the inquiries concerning ICOs has critically fallen. It managed to decrease up to -99%. Thus, the information can be truthful, I think.

I saw such an announcement when Facebook was against bitcoin and the explanation for this was that it was not spamming and keeping a minimal deal about Google that here is a form that simply does not have to listen to everything that is written.

I also heard about it. The FBI presses on Google to prevent the company from advertising crypto currency. The Bureau argues this is because this advertisement is misleading internet users who do not have enough knowledge about crypto-currencies to make informed conclusions about them. It is believed that such ads lead to the fact that people become victims of scammers. However, whether Google will follow this "advice" or not - remains a question.

yes but I think google will not ban ads about crypto because they say that as long as the terms and risk are indicated in the ads it will be still available and will not be ban that what I understand
