I read an article about this please take a look

https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/exclusive-google-quietly-purging-cryptocurrency-ads-content/

I'm not sure if this is true
what are your idea about this?
true because they will create their own cryptocurrency just like everybody else, they are seeing huge potential annd so that they will not be left behind, it started with fb, google twitter, and many more big companies will come out and announce their own cryptos in the near future
Any proof or link to back up your assumption? Just because these big websites ban crypto ads doesn't mean they'll be making their own crypto. Theymos doesn't allow ico ads here but I know he's unlikely gonna start his own ico/alt.

I think that this will not happen because the media are against such an idea that to prohibit advertising
about bitcoin they certainly pay them not bad money for promotion.
This is not about whether these social media sites want a bigger $$ or not. There's already tons of articles about google banning crypto related ads it's just a matter of time before it's in full effect. A lot of websites are banning crypto related ads including this forum.

Why this forum also banning the promotion of Crypto related ads?? I think it will not because the main purpose of this forum is to build a community of crypto fanatic people

These are big whales who are always profit oriented. They never do anything without any profit margin. So you are right, that when they saw bitcoins have so much potential and this crypto things run better, so they have started thinking to do something extraordinary. I think they will be launching their own coins that would be in race with bitcoins. Because they have best teams and investment.

this is part of a broader effort to combat the sale of new high-risk financial products.

I don't think so. I don't have to worry about that.
Because the profit from the ICO advertising to Google is amazing, if it is not restricted by very strict laws, then I think Google will not give up such a big profit.
I agree with you.
ICO and crypto are one of the profitable markets for Google through advertising. Google thanks ICO and crypto ads to make a profit and ICO and google crypto to advertise them. The two issues coexist in parallel and the final decision is about the choice of ICO and crypto investors. The market is full of fun and traps. Win or lose depends on the participant.

Thanks for this I think what google are doing are just regulating the ads and never banning the ads related to such stuff like crypto and ICO while Facebook do the total ban they can't stop I still see users advertise the ICO and other stuffs.

yes I also believe that google are just doing a regulation in the ICO and Crypto related advertisement because when I browse through out the web I see advertisement about an upcoming ICO mostly the ads are related to BUNNYTOKEN and MINERONE token these are the most ads I get from google ads that are cypto and ICO related advertisement I think other ICO are regulated and under review. they don't do a total ban.

what are your idea about this?

Here is my opinion regarding this  news:

1) It is true that they are banning crypto related advertisements and this is nothing new. They had already done in this past for many suspicious projects. They will not want to get their image hampered due to this.

2) I do not think that bitcoin will be affected by this in the long run. Bitcoins was never being advertised as there are already millions of people selling their experiences with others thus promoting bitcoins for free.

First Facebook, then Twitter, they all announced the ban on the release of cryptocurrencies and ICO ads. My Twitter account seems to be affected. As for Google, there aren’t many bounty ads that need to use Google’s platform, so I think this Worry is superfluous. Wink

Yes the news is true and Google will implement this soon. There is news that even Twitter is going to follow this , I think they are scared with the growth of bitcoins.

Yes, I also listen to this news that in June 2018 Google will ban Crypto related ads I am not sure if this news is fake or real but if they ban the ads I am sure it will affect the crypto market and it will be hard for ICOs to promote.

yes google has announced it will block all digital currency ads, a few weeks after Facebook announced a ban on digital currency promotions. The social networking site Twitter joined the list of digital currency warriors, announcing the company's intention to block digital advertising.

Yes, But I think that Google, Facebook and twitter are the sites that will affected their profits because they are gaining profit in every promotions. I think that they will not really banned these sites because its part of their profits. If they do all of these, It will really affect many crypto users and investors.

It's true. Both Google and Facebook banned the cryptocurrency and ICO ads. These web giants are at the center of disputes with numerous national authorities for dominant positions (Google), privacy protection (Facebook) and tax issues. They do not want to attract further criticism even for fraudulent ICOs.

The Internet search giant also restricts advertising to other high-risk financial products and related content, including binary options (the "all or nothing" option).

Recall that Facebook Inc. took a similar step in January. The social network banned the advertising of crypto currency, ICO (initial coin placement) and binary options.

"This policy is part of a continuing effort to improve the integrity and security of our ads and make Facebook scams more difficult." Misleading or deceptive ads do not have a place on Facebook.

We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through advertisements on Facebook, without fear of fraud or deception. Nevertheless, there are many unscrupulous companies that advertise binary options, ICO and crypto-currencies, "the press service of the Internet resource and the blog of the company's product management director noted.

Nevertheless, crypto-currency advertising has found a way to circumvent the prohibitions on Facebook, using a simple trick, with intentionally incorrect spelling of words. So, in one case, the letter "o" in the word BITCOIN was replaced by a digit zero, and the capital I was replaced by lowercase L (l).

Given this experience, a spokeswoman for Google said that the company's policy will try to anticipate workarounds like this.

According to Bloomberg, the updated Google policy appeared with the release of the annual report on unfair ads - an overview of the number of malicious, deceptive and inconsistent ads that Google tracks. In 2017, Google said that it removed more than 3.2 billion advertisements from the Internet, up from 1.7 billion in 2016.

For example, last year Google blocked 79 million ads to attract online clicks to sites with malicious programs.
