Now that the first batch is going to sell out and it looks like Cryptx isn't going to have to buy any shares, we need to try and convince Cryptx to make the same deal again (with the second batch). Not only is that a huge boon to all investors, but it properly aligns Cryptx's incentives with the goals of all share holders.
Personally, I was much more comfortable thinking he was going to be buying shares, I'm sure others felt the same.
Cryptx, what say you?
Agreed, I think most investors would feel a lot more comfortable if cryptx owned a bunch of shares +1, +2 +3

You guys realize, that the issuer automatically owns all unsold shares, right? No need to buy shares from yourself if you own them anyway.

Not exactly this way. When IPO will not be sold Cryptx and they dont buy not sold shares they will introduce less total hashrate and divide it to number of sold shares will give us 15gh per share but they will not collect dividents. But they will be able to introduce another ipo with not saled shares. When they buy uunsold shares they will simply collect dividents as normal shareholder and can not launch new ipo.

This is incorrect, there is a very large difference. Unsold shares do not collect dividends, if he were to purchase the shares, he would receive dividends and would have a personal incentive to expedite the return of our dividends. The current reinvestment schedule provides a disproportionate benefit to the person collecting fees to run the mine while shareholders receive a small fraction of the mined bitcoins. Also, unsold shares can be used for a later IPO where our trading could be frozen again etc. Reinvestment | Dividend | Fee | %90 | %10 | .25/kwh | %86 | %14 | .25/kwh | %82 | %18 | .25/kwh | %78 | %22 | .25/kwh | %74 | %26 | .25/kwh | %70 | %30 | .25/kwh | %66 | %34 | .25/kwh | %62 | %38 | .25/kwh |
Notice how in this scenario the ratio between reinvestment and dividends doesn't effect the amount he makes? If he were to be a large share holder, his incentives would be better aligned with ours. edit to add one more thought...Personally investing shows the rest of the share holders that he believes in the long term strength of the project. When he announced that he would personally buyout the remainder of Batch 1, that showed me that he felt that it was a good investment, knowing intimately the direction the mine was headed in. Without that investment, we are left to believe that our money may not be best placed in this security.

Also, unsold shares can be used for a later IPO where our trading could be frozen again etc. [...] I beg to disagree. Both Prospectus versions state the following: All units are entitled to an equal percentage of dividends. A total of 100,000 units are outstanding. [...] It does not say anywhere, that only publicly traded shares (units) are entitled to dividends. However, I do acknowledge that cryptx has so far been so generous to treat it like this, thus not paying themselves a dividend for holding the ~33.000 outstanding but not publicly traded shares. Shares represent fractions of a company's equity. If a company makes a profit, equity is increased. The company may now choose to pay some of the profits to its shareholders in the form of dividends. If it chooses to do so, a dividend is paid per outstanding share to the respective owner. No matter if that is an owner outside the company (here parts of the profits actually leave the company) or the company itself (increase in equity). Let me ask you a question: How do you buy parts of your own equity, if not by paying with parts of your own equity or borrowed money? However, please don't get me wrong. It was a smart move to announce "buying" own shares, as it greatly improved confidence of potential investors. Obviously, the announcement had the signalling effect it was intended to provoke. Well done!

your forgetting how much reinvestment benefit shareholders im actually disappointed the reinvestment % is targeted to drop lower then 40% but im confident that PETA will adjust to future conditions and not stubbornly hold to its roadmap.

Congrats for the full IPO sell out!!! +10 for "Cryptx should own shares as well" thing. From the http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/cryptx-petamine-ipo/2014/05/23"The CryptX PetaMine data-center is located in Belgium and is completely powered by wind and solar energy, thus making it both energy efficient and environmentally friendly. " But he told us that his powerplant is enough to power only 1% of PETA. I'm confused. Can you buy certified clean energy in Belgium? Anyway, good one. I'm sorry I jumped on Scryptx. I could have almost doubled my share/btc value. Shit happens.
