Who paid and got refunded in BTC?

@vesper, if you don't buy, and I do, I'm going to be the whale miner. hehehe. (if they deliver.)

I'll find a way.. hahaha

Ah yes, paranoia Smiley

Maybe they're too busy to search for every mention of their name and reply ? Or maybe they have a policy right now against engaging critics and trolls until they have some positive results to share ?

Lack of communication doesn't prove try are scammers. If it does, please explain that reasoning to me.

The fact myself and others asked them questions through official channels, and through here, and they went without notice isn't just random paranoia, it's outright rude when you're opening a business and isn't a great way to form relationships. They started from this and the litecoin forum, and are ignoring them suddenly right after preorder opening. Even after closing, nothing.

Not saying it's reason to jump ship, but it sure as heck isn't a reason to place an order.

I'm not surprised they haven't shown up, this isn't a reflection on the last post, just a general observation of this thread, but why on earth should they return here given the nature of the abuse, scandalous accusations, finger pointing, name calling... Well the list goes on.

For all the trolls on this forum, the vast majority of us here are adults, who like me probably run businesses, where on occasion we speculate to accumulate, it's the old risk versus reward scenario. I for one am willing to take the risk. I've done my research, I can see past the office picture, at least they have one - the vast majority of scams run from bedrooms, why bother. This isn't a manufacturing facility it's a presence, nothing more, nothing less.

This is a crowd funding exercise with legitimate partners, and hell why not. What's to stop any of you with a decent idea trying the same ? Probably a lack of balls and vision.

Let them get on with it. If you don't get an answer to a question then so what, half of the questions I see on here the information is readily available or can be purchased, if you don't have the few pounds to purchase this yourself then you shouldn't be here in the first place.

Oh yeah, i for one won't be responding to any bs claims made on here either, bothered !

Good luck to you all, whichever path you take.

Given the amount of interest, and from the orders on this unofficial orders list http://alphat.emux.fr/ I would imagine they are very busy managing orders and processing them all. So far they have been quite forthcoming with their plans. Consider these guys as a start up on the forefront of new technology

So what they have an office next to their dad's business, Steve Jobs started Apple from his dad's garage

So far there is no proof whatsoever that Alpha Tech are scammers.
I give the the benefit of the doubt, so far.

If you're afraid of being scammed, dont order. All we can do now is wait for more updates to be released.
I for one am looking forward to the alpha T forum and "meeting" the engeneers who are working on the prototype.

Just because Alpha Tech has a crappy looking storefront doesn't mean it's a bogus company.
You'd assume Dextel did a bit of research to before partnering up with Alpha too, right ?

thats a point has anyone checked out Dextel and if legit what is their take on alpha-t which supposedly they are getting chips made for?

er an to previous posts on getting stuck i paid via paypal and cc amex so i should? be covered at least the 1st 30days if not 45 days ...unless others can tell me otherwise?

It looks like Alpha Technology is doing allright, even with all the fear and loathing going on here.
If this website is at all accurate (and note this is a fraction of orders placed) the numbers look good. They have their "funding": http://alphat.emux.fr/
Near 300,000 Pounds raised with close to a million pounds on the books. (And remember, this aren't all the orders). WOW!!!

They'll need a lot more than that for development. The NRE for the mask set alone will be around $5million. But Sy has estimated total orders of 30GH/s on the litecointalk forum, which is 6000 5MH/s units (equivalent), or around 50,000 ASIC chips, so it looks like its going to be a profitable venture. Just FYI, trying not to be a hater.  Tongue

Thanks for the info. I knew it was only a fraction of orders but not sure how much. All the hating going on here really took away from things, but at the same time understandable. Hopefully Alpha Technology starts to post here. Not sure why they wouldn't as other manufacturers have posted on the forum and Alpha Technology STARTED this thread!

Do you have a link to the other forum discussion?

Thx,
IAS

Link to the post I referenced: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=2859.msg92936#msg92936 (I replied just after).

The forum is pretty lively. Quite a lot of hating/boosting going on, but some useful discussion too.

Thanks for the link, Kramble.

Reading all those updates from Alpha T actually took a lot of my suspicions away. If they're scammers, they are scammers who sound like they've actually studied electrical engeneering.

I believe they actually plan to deliver. If they are ABLE too remains to be seen, but I have faith in their intentions. And I've put m money where my mouth is.

Go Alpha T !!

On the litecoin forums ive read that bitpay is very slow with refunds. If you select Paypal it will be much quicker.

I'm not sure what you mean -
First, you say not to troll - Does that mean you are here just to judge?
Second - What does greed have to do with this? Without a doubt buying a LTC is the best investment. Investing in a mining rig, that if you get, you can only hope to break even months and months later.
So, it seems that many people here, me included, are trying to support the network, break even (eventually profit) and enjoy a hobby.
And just a few images? They wrote a white paper, have a partner in India who got an ASIC chip running on an FPGA... What are you talking about?

So in closing, do you even think before you post?

Wow...this thread is giving me a major headache!  I got my refund w in three hours of emailing them.  I think I am going to pre order again.  Drexcel has posted on their site that they are partnering up w alpha-T....Surely they would do their research before signing into a contract with Alpha-T.

I've ordered a 5mhz miner from alpha tech but I've just noticed something that's worried me.
Can anyone explain why if I google 'scrypt asic international', that company which said they were developing 25mh miners and you had to buy shares in order to get to order them, the links now take me to the alpha tech website?
Are they the same company?
