The term global currency is given to currencies that can be accessed anywhere around the globe. This is possible with very few currencies, and bitcoin is one among that with increased usage. As it is not centralized, people never knew it much about being a global currency.

I totally agree with you. For now let's never say never because things might turn around tomorrow. Since btc is a decentralized currency without the control of the government, how then can it be a global currency.

That is something really interesting governments, bank and businesses love the blockchain, it is a great idea that made bitcoin possible but they hate bitcoin, they know they will lose the tight control they have on the economy if they allow bitcoin to flourish but at the same time they really do not have any kind of idea of how to stop bitcoin from being adopted by the population of the world. Even in my country Government is against bitcoin and have declared it as a illegal currency but people are still using it and making money out of it and Government cannot do anything about it but its hard to believe that bitcoin can be a global currency and it has not reached everywhere yet and not many people are aware about it and if they know about it they are scared to invest in it as Government is not in support of it. |

That is something really interesting governments, bank and businesses love the blockchain, it is a great idea that made bitcoin possible but they hate bitcoin, they know they will lose the tight control they have on the economy if they allow bitcoin to flourish but at the same time they really do not have any kind of idea of how to stop bitcoin from being adopted by the population of the world. Every increasing population of country are accepting bitcoin, when a child even born he has some bitcoin because every parents are trying to save their children future by saving some bitcoin for them, now blockchain technology is taking the command because of using in every well known company, now everyone is happy to use bitcoin, government is also being happy because of bitcoin development in country as it make economy good. |

It should be changing slowly then others can catchup it
fluctuation and instability of bitcoin is not a big issue at all, bitcoin is even now is almost near to become global currency, now bitcoin investors are present throughout the world, this is such a great truth that even those countries who have considered bitcoin as illegal now they are willing to turn bitcoin legal because they get to know bitcoin is need of the day and it is important to make our economy well and good. |

That the mission and main purpose of Bitcoin.... Looking at the world now it a technology age.... Just think about it using blockchain to solve problem, inventing things..... So I still believe that Bitcoin will be a global currency it just matter of time.

It can be adopted globally as a means of transferring assets, but to become the global currency, it would have to undergo regulations. Hence, coming out of the shadows and under the umbrella of financial regulatory bodies.
Yes it will be adopted globally because it is easy to transact all over the world. We can say that even now bitcoin is global currency, because people are around the world can buy, sell goods using bitcoin, without any discrimination of nationality and location, people are using it in every place of the world, its fast and easy transaction attracts people towards bitcoin investment. Thats right, even today bitcoin has become global currency, we know that bitcoin users have covered the whole world, almost every country there are bitcoin users, and besides you can use bitcoin and transactions wherever you want? is not that a global currency? |

Bitcoin is just a symbol of Blockchain Technology. In fact, many other altcoins have better technology than Bitcoin, like ETH, XRP, LTC,...The governments can make their our coin based on blockchain technology instead of using Bitcoin - what they can't control. And as we know, the transaction speed of Bitcoin is very slow and cost high fee when there're too many people use it. Imagination if 8 billion people use bitcoin as a global currency, how long will it take for 0.1 BTC transaction? and would it cost 0.01 BTC as the fee to transfer? |

but soon it will be. FIAT will be gone in due time as technology is engaging with bitcoin now.
we are not yet ready in a hundred percent but definitely will be.

bitcoin is already and will continue to be a global currency, I've made several transaction with people from other countries through bitcoin, some even requested that it's only bitcoin that they accept, so many adoption taking place and you are here saying its not a global adoption? |

In my opinion it is a big truth that in present time we are free to use bitcoin but surely in the future we will not be free to use such things easily because the main reason is that most of the countries are making rules to regulate the cryptocurrency and also they are Making new new rules so that they can give better limitations over the use of the bitcoin and also not only regualte but also people pay tax for which what they are using bitcoin , even service of bitcoin is limited to those people which are totally anonymous but Still no one is in the front of the world to be a offical owner of this technology and in this way I think bitcoin is on hand of few anonymous people and will remain in full centralised control , whatever we think but truth can never be change . |

Strongly agree with you, to some extent we can say bitcoin is global currency now because bitcoin is acceptable by everyone, there is no discrimination among users, rich, poor, able, disable, specially, ordinary all kind of people are enjoying bitcoin to get a better life, if some of them are not affording to buy bitcoin so for them bitcoin has another way of joining campaigns to earn good money and some bitcoin using their skills and knowledge. |

Yes I believe so. I don’t think Bitcoin can be allowed to be a global currency cause it doesn’t have what it takes to occupy such a position in any country. First thing I believe that disqualifies Bitcoin from being a global currency is the fact that it’s only an electronic money and does not have any way of being used physically except if you have a device that gives you access to it. And the government is also not in support of it, so not possible. |

Bitcoin cannot be a global currency. Government of each country will not allow that to happen, although many people already using bitcoin in some transactions like payment system. Still it is not possible for bitcoin to be global currency because there are some countries that doesn't accept bitcoin and in fact some of them even ban the use of it. Bitcoin is a decentralize cryptocurrency and no government can take control of it not like the physical money that we people has been using for so many years.

it is very difficult for bitcoin to become a global currency. because there are still many people who do not know bitcoin and there are still many countries that prohibit the existence of bitcoin. because they fear that the development of bitcoin can not be overcome. but you do not have to worry though some countries do not allow it but in some countries, many have received and legalized bitcoin. and I'm sure bitcoin will go on and on all over the world.
