I don't get your question completely ico is still real and it all depend on the team who are behind the project... and also in some countries ico is forbidden for their citizens and some other countries allow their citizens to participate so everything is always a two way thing .... we have project that the team have a dirty mindset from the beginning and we still have good projects

Nowaday some ICO are still legit. It is hard to figure out what is the legitimate and what is fake. Hope soon the team make a security about this and have a secured when making a new ICO because we were affected here. So our effort and time do not come in vain.

Here definition of "LEGIT" is not about law. It is more about normal projects, which really wnat to implement innovative product. It is really hard to find such ICOs now, because of huge number of scams.

all the negative from the market ico of the company is only that in this business is concentrated a lot of scammers. I think if measures are taken to control the company's ico, then fraudulent projects will become much less.

In general ICO is legit but the only problem is the fake projects or the scams one.
They will find a way to scam people and they will use a crowd funding in order to raise funds where they will run after collecting their target.
We need to be aware on this, always invest in a project that is manage by a real team so we can go after them in case they go dark.
