If I feels that project is scam. I will avoided it easily. quite reasonable, the large number of ICOs is indeed one reason why there are many ICOs that fail because investors are not likely to invest in all existing ICOs especially for ICOs that have the same concept which of course personal experience also has an impact on this, for my example I invested in ICO with the concept of health and then I didn't make a profit so when I got a health concept again I wasn't interested at all because I had experienced a loss
