Tekcoin's compound annual interest rate is over 6300%. Hardly seems like a tough decision at all. Isn't there risk it runs out of control? Plus, why isn't everyone on his dog buying TEKcoin? I will put my euros in TEKcoin, I think. because it is a bit difficult to buy up a bunch of them... "moneysupply" : 782870.12427600,

I had no problem compiling TEK-V1.1 on arch linux with qt5. Could you give me your command line? Ideally in a format like this one (I am the author, this is for monero): cd ~ && wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/e3ggvs8zife27dj/install_boost.sh && chmod +x ./install_boost.sh && ./install_boost.sh && sudo apt-get install git -y && sudo apt-get install cmake -y && git clone git://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero.git && cd bitmonero && mkdir build && make That is a command line that is fool-proof, because all of it is inside. whow whow whow :-) for me it was as simple as this: - Download source code and untar from the link from presstab - qmake-qt5 tekcoin-qt-linux.pro && make If you have an error, download the needed library with your package manager (in my case pacman). Again, as it is not a new system and i develop sometimes on it, i can't tell you which extra libraries I had to install. In my case, they were already all installed.

Buying TEKcoins? I feel like TEKcoin is better, but looks too good to be true.
That's what I thought, as I'm sure many do at first glance. However, I'm happy to be proven wrong, and all the recent activity is most encouraging. Word seems to be getting out and prices are rising. But I think it's still a bargain at 35000 and will prove a bonanza for early adopters. Eventually with difficulty rising and stake payouts falling, things will settle down. IMO, this coin should be a part of every long-term investors portfolio. I consider myself a stake hunter and also have some HBN and NVC. I recently purchased some YC to get in on the 10%/day stake goldrush. It's already doubled in price, too. Hope it survives.

Plus, why isn't everyone on his dog buying TEKcoin?
Go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 and take a screenshot, wait 5 minutes, reload page, take another screenshot, compare with previous one. Altcoin announcements section is complete insanity. I have witnessed this thread ending up on a second page in under 2 minutes. Thanks to whoever filled my sell orders from 0.000275 to 0.000375 on Cryptsy, that was my first profit made on TEK. 250 TEK still waiting at 0.0004 @ thundertoe I know I'm annoying on this matter but please use https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/114 instead of https://www.cryptsy.com at starting post because Cryptsy is not easy to navigate especially for cryptocoin newcomers. With direct link to TEK trading page, well, nothing can go wrong there. And thanks for removing CoinEX from starting post, those lamers are proven scam. They owe me 14k+ ZET and around 35 TAG for few months now and I'm sure those coins are gonne forever.

It seems some people just cant "believe" TEK works or isnt a scam.. it sounds too good i guess lol. I said in cryptsy chat just last night to a person scared of "stake" coins being some sort of scam, "go look into NVC PPC CAP HBN TEK" all have been paying and working well for quite awhile. Stake coin education is slowly getting out there though, let enough of the newcomers get dumped on with flash in the pan pump and dump coins they will start looking for "investments" more than speculating. I can sort of see the development of the traders thinking as i went through it last year. A large percentage of the people in the market now are fresh from this latest re surge and only have a few months under their belt so far, i think they will learn the pump and dump routine soon enough and then look for better investments.

Yeah, lost some coins there too. Although Crypsy's been solid, as a community we might want to consider gathering some coins to bribe another exchange to trade TEK. It's just good insurance.

Alright folks, I am on vacation right now - but what is a vacation without a new wallet release?? I decided to go ahead and release v1.1 with some minor fixes. - Qt 5 update - new button images - fixed exe icon - various bug fixes - various typo fixes - added linux binaries - added premade linux qt .pro file - renamed exe to Tekcoin-qt because industry standard - fixed file version to be in sync with release (no more 1.9.1) Note - I fixed this after the linux build Find the release here https://github.com/presstab/TEK/releases/tag/v1.1Of course this release is optional for everyone. The next version (v1.2) will hopefully have a lot of changes to it, so it will maybe take a month or more to put together. I will release some betas along the way for testing though probably. On the list so far: - make syncing work (not sure if this is possible yet without the correct source code, but I will try to do research) - fix GUI to fit Tekcoin logo without pushing the transactions column too far - fix problem with block count vs estimated block count - add some additional gui features like recently minted count - add Mac OS wallet?? (will need other devs to help with this, I don't have a Mac at my disposal) - continue to tweak the button's look to get them just right - and possibly more I see the following - make syncing work (not sure if this is possible yet without the correct source code, but I will try to do research) If when you connect to the network, don't you request the initial block for syncing purposes? Does the client include something like a hash of the original zero block, and then adds from that when syncing. I don't understand how that works. I would expecxt it would connect to the network, and say give me block0 and more... But it looks like this is being rejected on the client, but if you download the chain, it works, which is also strange. Could it be some of the nodes that are in the original client? such that there is a bad node that won't let it sync, could we get around this by using current nodes?

Anyone know if something special is needed to build for macosx
I have macports, xcode and all things installed. I load tekcoin-qt.pro and compile away, got a boost issue, added the include directory and commented out the windows build lines. I reran it and it gets through what looks like most of it and I get pthreads not used, and then unknown symbols, and some lines in code that has issues.
Shouldn't I be able to load the pro and build?

- Download source code and untar from the link from presstab - qmake-qt5 tekcoin-qt-linux.pro && make Thank you. It worked for me. But now, I have the issue of the wallet not synchronising. It did not sync on my Windows VM, but now it does on my Manjaro physical machine.
