Fork was successful!  Cool Cool Cool

But looks like a few miners are mining on the wrong chain, lol...

Please everyone update your wallets and restart miners.

Truely a good job - and not a self starter!

First I thought I would love the next Algo decorated by jalapenos, now i am sure its better with Chocolate Carolina Reaper.

(I luckily purchased a few seeds from it - but just for next season Wink )

Yes, burgerhash (BURGER) will remain active as little brother of ZETTEL forever.
Don't look at it as mere "test net" version, you might just as well look at it as a secondary coin / chain.

ZETTEL will have regular pre-planned forks every 100k blocks.
BURGER can be considered ZETTEL's testnet, because it helps ensuring that every fork will go down smoothly.

If you are unhappy with your ZETTEL mining results, please do consider mining BURGER and trading them for ZETTEL:

https://www.zetteltalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28

Download the newest burgerhash version here:

https://github.com/zettel-kasten/burgerhash/releases

this will feel almost like mining at a pool and getting payed fractions of ZETTEL, plus you are helping us build a strong testnet, which will become even more important going into the future.

Greez,

haha,

I love jalapenos, but they will have to wait for a later version.

What our burger needs urgently is a little bit of greens / salad.

So I was thinking:

One thing that bothers me is that the two Keccak functions are not doing the same amount of work right now.
Keccak 1 has to work with an input size of 185 (+ sin(64)),
while Keccak 2 works with the digest of the first Keccak, which is 64 (+sin(64)).

So I will need to add another 121 bytes in front of Keccak 2, so that both Keccaks will end up with exactly the same workload.
This is what Burgerhash V4 will be about.

121 is a matrix of 11 x 11 pixels.

And greens/salads have something very "fractal" about themselves.

hm

something something mandelbrot?

Romanesco algo. Cheesy ...

I wish you a healthy pace and maximum of such beautiful analogisms that could make sense.

(Btw.: Your Testnet is also (if not even more than) real fun, as I found out today.)

Thanks.

I think the next algo update will have something to do with a special kind of salad, a WordSalad:

a randomized input from a list of a few thousand words or so, should create lots of funny combinations that will then be fed into the second KECCAK...

 Huh

Guys,I have some trouble....I came back from holidays yesterday, and sent 1334 Zettel from one of my rigs to my main wallet. After that I have found, that there is new wallet release.I have updated my main wallet, and there was no incoming transaction. After that,I have updated the wallet on my rig, from which I made that transaction, but wallet didn't open because of corrupted blockchain database,so I have used .-zettelkastend -rescan,and when I have checked balance,it was 0.37871750.It looks like I have sent 1334 zettel on wrong blockchain. For sure I have  mined some Zettel also on wrong chain, but there was also coins which I have mined before fork.Is there some way to get them back?

do you have regular backups of your wallet.dat?

can you check in blockexplorer whether your transaction went through and is on main chain?

No,there is no transaction on main chain, and I make backups only for my main wallet.I use another rigs only for mining, and send coins to main wallet almost every day

hm, then this doesn't look good.

it looks like you sent whatever coins you had AFTER you already switched to the other chain.

hm, if the guy is sure that he has mined blocks BEFORE the fork happened, and he still owns all the mining privkeys of each block that was mined BEFORE block 200k, then YES, it should actually work to import all those blocks by doing lots of importprivkey with a fully synced chain on the correct side of the fork.

But only if no money was transferred out of these blocks BEFORE the fork happened.
Because otherwise this outflow is then registered on the main chain too, even after the fork.

Well.. it sounds like a lot of assumptions are being made here...

well...As I said before,I had holidays and there was no outgoing transactions until yesterday.
If I understand it right,I need to dumpprivkey/importprivkey for each address, which has generated the block,or can I do that for address which from I sent transaction?
Transaction id of 1334 Zettel transfer is eb29811ad14cb0a4c902ccf83021d8ceacf31d7875b4aae7ba00e091c1d2a51c  but it is not listed on main chain.

Update 1 wallet with actual chain and replace wallet.dat with one from rig, then send to your main wallet.
