Well, I hope you are right. Because there is a big difference from pursuing scammers based in Hungary than doing the same against scammers from India / south Asia who have gone a long way to keep themselves as anonymous as possible.

It seems there have been no progress on getting the names and addresses of those who are currently laundering all the Bitcoins for USDT and probably Monero as we speak.

We can only trust the FBI/CIA can get to them. Again... It wont be a thing of days or months, but likely years.

they will seize these BTCs, and probably these BTC will become part of the reserve,
and I can't think how they will return them to the users... What will they do,
a maintenance on the site and release the withdrawals? and or contact each user by email through the registered email, they will not even ask for KYC?, not to mention the possibility
of this happening, I believe much more that suddenly, a kindness in the heart of
the current owners of the site, release the withdrawals, but a very low probability,
since at least the site at the moment is still accessible,
 But at any moment, it could go off the air again and never come back.

There are so many things they should have done and from a long time ago that I don't think we can trust they are going to do what should be done. Coming back online without any further explanation is only another chapter in this bad joke. And if the identities of the scammers had not been known before they website was shutdown then it will be difficult to know them and arrest them. And as Hispo said if they are not in USA, it will hard to arrest them and if they are found in another country, the international law would not allow the FBI to arrest them there but the country agent would do that and there are procedures to extraditing them.

I don't want to demotivate anyone regarding filing a complaint against the site or its owners, but those living in the USA should be aware that there's a crypto-friendly government at work, which happily wants crypto to grow and doesn't want it to fail. With that in mind it might not be the best idea to do this via some service located in the USA.

That is probably why they have been running the scam for so long without fear of getting caught. They announced that they will close the site, clear the gamblers' due amount in this year 2026 (the announcement was last year though) and then they restarted the site without paying the gamblers till date.

If they were in the US, they couldn't have done this without facing the legal consequences. Anyways, they operated for so long, were one of the trusted site but then things completely changed, the transition from the trusted to the scamming site.

The FBI is look an eagle, they can mount any country and ask for the security personnels in the country of the scammer to help them apprehend a scammer after many secret investigations. Catching these scammers that had been stealing from innocent gamblers will be possible by the FBI if the case has been brought to them. This investigation may take time like years to be completed before the arrest of the people involved in the FreeBitco.in website.

Thanks for the links, it looks that onlyfirst website can be used by international users who aren't based in specific country. But still, I'm very sceptical that you can achieve something with these reports.

1818 pages of discussions and complaints! The last few dozen pages are just discussions, condemnations, and isolated attempts to organize real action against the scammers... And... attempts by the majority to find excuses why it won't work/won't produce results/won't help solve the problem...
If you want change but do nothing, there will be NO change!  As I understand it, most people just want to complain about the situation, but nothing more. This only plays into the hands of the scammers at  FreeBitco.in...

Having a government is which crypto friendly or are okey with Bitcoin and other currencies forming part of their economy does not have anything to do with law enforcement or the way such government is supposed to prosecute scammers like these.
A thief will be always be a thief, regardless what a government thinks of Bitcoin and other descentralized assets.

So it would be okey to encourage anyone who lives in the United States to fill a formal complaint against the administration of Freebitcoin.

Not too much of an effort indeed but unfortunately, I doubt they regard their community well enough to come out with some announcements of what is really going, why they took down the site previously and why they brought the site back alive again..
Too many questions in the mind of everyone on this thread I believe but unfortunately, we may never find answers to any of them except something changes with how the team decides to respond to their community.

Well yeah definitely, while learning to trade, i was told that often times, to make a profit and get paid, someone else some where have to lose their own money, and this is how I get paid.
But on the flip side as well, I too will have to lose money for someone else somewhere to profit as well..
