There is nothing said on the site about warranty so be gentle to your board Cheesy

It was obviously defective from the start. They need to replace defective boards.

It should be cheaper cause the chips are $20 each now compare to $30 before. So $500 - $700 board probably doable Cheesy

No one should send defective boards, the torture of non-working miner in hand is too cruel...

Hello Cryptx.

I have written to you several times now through your website contact form and have received no response. It is upsetting to be so thoroughly ignored. I placed an order on your website on the 1st of October. here are the details.

Order #1274 made on October 1, 2013. Order status: processing.

I am writing here to formally request a refund for this purchase. I have not received anything from you, the customer service is horrible, and it is very clear that your boards do not perform anywhere near what was promised. I paid you via bitcoin. The amount was 8.1593. Transaction 6d5bc997a60437ec33d689309f34fd7f1b6c6d8e2f7cf87ad4c3a66904045d9b

Please do the right thing here and refund my coins, or at the very least make contact with me so we can discuss things.

Regards

Barntech

*** Update - Refund received. Thanks for being good about it Cryptx!

@cryptx Any plan for future boards sale again?

I would be interested too, albeit at a discounted price  Wink

Would almost have to be less than 40% of price this time to be attractive at all, I'd say...

If the price reduces by 40%, then you'll have at least 40% more buyers.  You can't win either way.  Too many miners involved now fighting for fewer coins.

I'd buy some more too for the right price!

I received my 100-euro refund for the hashrate deficit today; thank you! I know not everyone's experience is the same, but I've been happy with cryptx the whole way through: received my BitBurner Fury essentially on time, it works great within its limitations (runs at ~52GH/s, so obviously the 64GH/s goal was a regrettable miscalculation), and then received the promised hashrate protection refund without even having to request it. In the meantime, he's gotten the start of the Peta-Mine up and running and paying out. I think cryptx is doing some good work in an otherwise chaotic and frustrating space. Just sayin'.

Yes, communication could have been better. But so far I am somewhat happy with the product. I was shipped one board less but this was promptly corrected and I was a shipped another board shortly

Cheers

For Oct this is the best in term of shipping time. Other Oct Bitfury 3rd party are still either manufacturing or shipping their product which mean almost double difficulty.

I've had a similar experience. While there have been some delays (particularly with the hashrate protection refund / paypal issues) and certainly communication could have been better, cryptx / burnin have basically delivered a working ASIC product on time, which is quite impressive. Not everyone had the same experience from what I've seen, but I'm still impressed.

Those of us who are running both Bitburner XX boards and Bitburner Fury boards might be  interested in a new option in cgminer 3.6.6 that allows you to mine with both types of board in a single cgminer instance, and set different avalon-options for the XX and Fury boards.

Prerequisites:

Assuming you're running with BBF firmware in your Fury boards, all you need to do is set avalon-options for your XX boards and bitburner-fury-options for your Fury boards.  That's it!

I have a two board stack of each kind of board, and I mine with something like the following:
Code:
--avalon-options 115200:4:10:d:431 --bitburner-voltage 1300 --bitburner-fury-options 115200:32:10:d:265 --bitburner-fury-voltage 1030

Hopefully this is useful to someone else

Yeah, everyone's boards are different.  I'm starting to realise you do need to run for quite a while to get an accurate picture of HW error rate so maybe I can drop it a little more.... But pretty sure my HW rate will be through the roof if I drop as low as 950mV.

Just for the record, I received my hashrate protection on 10-23-2013 via PayPal since that is how I paid for my boards.

Thanks Cryptx for honoring the deal.

I never received an SD card with my RPI though.

Cryptx,

I have one board that is only hashing at ~12Gh/s, I tried upgrading the firmware, CANBUS chaining it to another board, and a variety of cgminer versions, nothing changes. Of the 4 boards I received, 3 hash all at around 45-50Gh/s depending on my settings, with a 4th 'dumb' board only hashing at a measly ~12Gh/s (maybe faulty chips?)

I emailed you last week, but still no response back. I received the hashrate protection after emailing you once before (thank you for keeping your word on that), however since this board is WELL below the 40Gh/s minimum advertised, I would at least want a refund for the value of 3/4ths of the ~700 Euro I paid for the faulty board. Please help me rectify this asap. Otherwise, the boards are working well, even though I don't even know how you could even go above ~52Gh/s per board without it becoming a fire hazard and frying the chips.
