What's very difficult right now is that BTC's price cannot break its resistance as of the moment and this issue drags down almost all altcoins including Waves. If you're following the different social channels of Waves, you'll be able to see that they have good news almost every week providing their investors some insight on what could be the price of it in the future. Well, evidently, you are not doing your own research so suit yourself. But don't spread information without any solid proof.

Ethereum has smart contracts but waves is implementig them ad it's faster and easier to use. the platform of waves is easy to use and its very easy to create own token for cheap. those two is big advantages in waves.

I was a fan of waves initially and i thought it will give tough competition to ethereum platform but to be honest, waves tokenization platform is still struggling to provide any value, secondly the major problem is very low and poor volume at its dex, so the tokens generated on waves are valueless and the team does not seem to promote their dex or somehow attract traders and increase the volume. Thirdly waves based tokens are not easily listed by other decent exchanges, i hardly know of any waves token listed and traded on mainstream exchanges. Waves should clear these issues as soon as possible.

thats why It goes as the 2nd part in the market cap. and just like copying ethereum legacy is such a meh?
if you will create a new and unique type of coin maybe it has much more possibility to boom and surpass eth
