Nice move in price 33% and volumes to $1M.
Why is one interested in this coin, still can not understand.

suprminer-1.5 is actual miner for this algo at this time?

I'm using suprminer-1.6 beta on windows. my 3 gpu nvidia 1070 rig runs very stable.

Yesterday I backed up my wallet to a thumb drive, I had a power failure early today and when I went to open the Ravencore wallet it crashed.  I have downloaded the QT wallet onto a second computer but can't figure out how to transfer the the information I have on the wallet.dat thumb drive file to the new qt wallet.  Nothing I do seems to work.  I am sure it is something simple but I don't know enough to figure it out.
You need to put your wallet.dat file in place of the one that is broken or inplace of the one that is there with a new install. It's just a file with your encryption keys.
That was my thoughts, get a new QT, open it; have it generate a new wallet.dat, then rename that as _newwallet.bak and put in the old wallet.dat file in the Ravencoin folder

Go to your appdata folder and delete the new wallet.dat... and replace it with the one on your thumb drive that you just saved
then close the folder and reopen the wallet

“How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked.

“Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.”

wow nice jump by RVN...now quite dissapointed that sold a bag few days ago.
But that`s crypto and you have to live with that  Grin

same here i sold 2/3 of my bags very low, ill hold my last bag for a while

well, that was a newbs mistake Wink

You dont buy coins of such great projects as RVN for quick swap. Just buy and HODL. 500 sat is still super low price. Stack as much as you can, give it one year and thank me later.

So last night I sold about 25% of what i had. This covers my electricity so far and for the next couple weeks. That was at 469; would have been nice to wait until 500+ but you never now the right time.

So time to jeep up the hodl, and the mining

Don't you think that this coin suddenly got attention due to ASIC resistance and the fact that Bitmain announced their Antminer Z9 for Equihash? 10k Sol (15x 1080Ti) with power draw 300 Watts is insane.
There is a video from Voskcoin about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnbkbbu6z2Q

I'm currently mining about 150 a day. I haven't really paid that much attention recently might have gone up or down, may have been pool luck. I have 5 stock rx 570 cards. It's nice because difficulty is pretty low right now.

You can join the discord group there is a bot  setup to tell you estimated earnings

I started mining this morning with a single 1070ti, current settings are:

Power: 80% (135w)
Core: +150
Memory: +300

Averaging about 13 Mh/s over the past 5 hours with z-enemy.  Obviously you will have to play around and find the right balance for yourself but most people are going with light overclocks at this point.

Let's not forget that on next Monday there will be a live-streamed Dev meetup in Salt Lake City and depending on how it goes, it could further boost the confidence of community and overall market into the project: https://twitter.com/Ravencoin/status/991361386252062720.

I had a power failure and now my Raven core wallet won't open, it crashes according to the event viewer.  I have a substantial amount of RVN's in it.  I did a wallet back-up yesterday and have the wallet.dat file.

My question is how to move the wallet to a different computer and recover the RVN's.  I have looked but there does not seem to be an explicit step by step instruction on how to do this. can anyone help?

A good time to repost this:

Backup wallet.dat.
%appdata%/raven
Copy wallet.dat to a safe place
Always back it up if you create a new receive address and keep old copies

Restore:
Install qt wallet
Replace the default %appdata%/raven/wallet.dat with your latest backup copy
Sync wallet.

Backup your private keys
(Keepass noted below is a suggestion only - DYOR)

Open Raven Wallet
click on 'help' in the menu bar (top right)
click on 'debug window'
select the 'console' tab
type in commands

*List all your public keys
listaddressgroupings

*Unlock your wallet (number is the timeout in seconds)
walletpassphrase <you passphrase if used> 600

*Present private key for each stated public key.
dumpprivkey <public key #1>
dumpprivkey <public key #2>
dumpprivkey <public key #3>
...etc

Then
Copy into safe place  - not a text file on your PC.
Try https://keepass.info/ or cabled printed to hardcopy - laminated and placed in bomb\flood\dragon proof safe. - Some use safety deposit boxes at banks... ironic  Undecided I suppose it gives banks a use in the future.
keep a backup of the keypass somewhere safe offline preferably - then keep that in a safe place - see above line  Smiley.
Always create a new backup if you create a new address and keep old copies
NB. You can also attach your wallet.dat into keepass

Import Private Key
Select Help
Select Debug Window
Select Console
If you encrypted your wallet,
walletpassphrase <YourLongPassphrase> 600
importprivkey <privatekey>
NB. the private key must not have spaces, remove them if they are included in your backup

Yeah I'm planning on holding long term on this one. I generally transfer about 10% every week or so to have some available for a good sale price just to cover electricity, on a good price spike.
