is this coin still alive?
Still alive, actively being traded on Bter exchange. Not very actively but not looking good on BTER - "Investor risk notice: This is a low liquidity market with a high risk of being delisted" There are a lot of addresses that own a substantial amount of datacoin, hopefully these can help the market of Daracoin. It is one of the best old coins, one of the first to put information in the chain. BTER, if their volume figures are correct, may be doing a brisk business in China, even if they are not focusing much on western markets. The big wallet might be the BTER wallet. After cryptsy bit the big one. BTER locked up a lot of high quality older coins and its possible that some rare opportunities exist with coins like dtc that could easily become major mainstream coins once crypto starts trending up. You can't do wrong having a small amount of dtc just in case.

The datacoininfo.org domain has been renewed for another year Hey guys, Here is the site I have been building to try to get all the Datacoin information into one site, it's still being updated as you will see by the Coming Soon.... sections. Any feedback / content requests are welcome, drop me a PM here. Donations to the Datacoin address on the site will go towards development (Planned development will be posted here) Update: Access to the donation address listed on the site will be given to the dedicated members of the Datacoin community, so as to decentralise access to it.

Team World! I just committed code to the Apertus.io repository that natively uses datacoin's data field. Apertus.io offers decentralized profiles And twitter like functionality to any altcoins based off bitcoin core 0.10.0 and higher. Apertus offers public\private storage, instant messaging and blockchain web browsing to altcoins based on bitcoin 0.8.0 and higher Apertus makes Datacoin better because it stripes data across multiple transactions which allows you to store files of any size on datacoin. You are not bound to the current 128K limit. It also allows you to create a profile and signature on datacoin to include and use with your etching so other Apertus users can follow and interact with you. Once you have installed Apertus.io and have it attached to your datacoin wallet just Browse to the following transaction to download a 5MB .MP3 I just put on there today as a test. 8b0c671f5c64d062a887486d6f38dfcd0497a12c38d9b3d1f688330215746f30 Here is a link to step by step training on setting up your Apertus.io Client https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDNMoJ2rHmfqn8mlv5V-jcSt7sq2kGTtEPS: The official release supporting Data coins data field will be compiled within the week. Watch for it here https://github.com/HugPuddle/ApertusThanks for your time embii Apertus is awesome! With Apertus as the browser you have websites that cannot be seized by any government. With Bitcoin you have a currency that cannot be seized and with Datacoin you have data that cannot be seized or censored. Seriously awesome. Nicest of all is that you won't need a webserver like nginx or apache. You pay once (in Datacoin) and your website runs forever!

kawa900jc perhaps you could list your nodes.
Yes, it is amazing. No developer and no exchange and yet this coin keeps on getting applications built on top of it.
I like the Internet of Coins. Seems to complement Apertus.io. Websites running on coins are uncensorable and unseizeable.

I cant say that looking at this coin makes my underarm rash less irritating. Data is a doable name for a crypto project though its a pity that it hasnt got enough docile followers to spur quarrels and fud wars in this thread, which would make it more entertaining to me than lisk thread.

Thanks for the addnodes.
Yes, I also got 16.55 DTC this morning. 66.15DTC so far. It depends on the difficulty, which is dropping.
I will dig a little to show how to exchange blockchain to blockchain. Maybe Apertus.io can help.
