If you didn't do anything wrong and against twitter rules, you are not banned at all. I have been advertising my twitter bounty campaign and I used that hashtags but my account was not blocked. I think it applies to those user who is spamming their account and doing some massive follow.

It's better to get acquainted with the Twitter policy. Most likely those aspects that are prohibited for posts there will be reflected. The most interesting thing is that participating in these campaigns makes sense only with the highest possible number of followers. Medium, twitter, FB what will be next.

I don't really believe it, to tell you the truth. but if it's real, I don't think it's fair. if I join some ICO bounty and it is sure to put this hashtag. it's just weird and pointless. our tweets are not spam unless we're tweeting at the same time.

I've never been banned/shadow banned from Twitter and I have been bounty hunting for a year. Only think this banning is off scammers and spammers.

That really sux if they are beginning to block accounts that talk about ICS. I mean this is a joke and what about the so called freedom of speech etc? So it's o.k to post hate speech and violence to others but you are not allowed to talk about cryptocurrencies and ICOS? If they can collect all the pedophiles and the extremists and gun collectors from Twitter, then I will stop talking about digital currencies lol. These U.S companies really run on double standards, nothing else, they are a bunch of hypocrites. Even I am a Caucasian,. I am sick of this corporate rubbish rammed down our throats.

Welcome to the world man. This is the power these organizations wield. You can not blame them 100% though. Rules r made not to punish but to protect. Many bad people have used this new way of raising funds to dupe people.

Just imagine one management team of a project responded to what someone who bought their tokens through ICO when he was saying the ICO had sort of failed 'investors'.
The Mgt team guy replied that the guy isn't am investor but a contributor

Me also blocked on Twitter, and it was two times. It was very disappointing, since I led at that time a large number of projects and a lot of reposts were made.

Thank you for the information, but it seems to only happen to accounts that use auto followers, but for me to use auto followers it is useless because after audited everything is just a robot account

I wonder how they can justify the blocking of accounts that are posting about icos and cryptocurrencies. It is just not fair that they are doing such things when a lot of people posts brutal and offensive things on twitter, they do not get blocked but they want to start blocking people for talking about icos and cryptocurrencies. Thank you for the heads up, I will be very careful about how I post from now on.

Twitter has already issued a ban on ICOs, but I still see a lot of ICO ad tweets every day. Maybe Twitter has some automatic detection features. They can detect some key words, such as ICO, but there are many Twitter Bounty They asked you for a word like tag #ico.

I don't think Twitter will compete for ICO. So its purpose is lost. I think the purpose of Twitter is to attract cryptocurrency fans.

Maybe twitter has its own superbots that analyze accounts and calculate a scam and fake, but if your account is alive and active, you write tweets, are interested in different topics and not just crypto currency, you will not be banned and blocked.

I'm still using hashtags concerning ICOs and cryptocurrencies, and do retweets everyday, If twitter wanted to ban all crypto ads they could do it by the hashtags. But there're still thousands of crypto accounts in twitter, so most likely those bans were due to the enormous activity.

Yeah, this blocking has been for a couple of months. You need to be careful when sharing, or you may lose your twitter account.

Thank you very much for your reminding, but according to my understanding, Twitter does not really "permanently freeze" your account. When your account is frozen or prohibited, you can retrieve your account through an appeal. At this point, Twitter is still doing very well.

It is a shame that we are being so watched at the moment, there are so many scams out there anyway.

this is very strange, why it is forbidden to hashtag about crypto or digital currency if the reason is not right and does not make sense. better shut it down so let no one use it again. I wait for the explanation news

Now there are massive blocking of Twitter accounts.
Most often,  block accounts  when you to use mass-following. Blocks is forever!
Also do not use hashtags #ICO #Cryptocurrency etc
Be careful!

UPD
Some accounts of my friends that have been blocked marked "forever" are now unlocked
But anyway, I think we need to be careful
We need to limit the addition of hastag #cryptocurrency to posts.
But I think this depends on the requirements of bounty management.
If they ask for the hastag #cryptocurrency in the post, Most have to follow the rules if they do not want to lose stakes.

If your friends did not write anything on Twitter, except advertising texts about ICO and cryptocurrency, then blocking is a logical result.

Thanks for the information. But do they really block us if we use #ICO tag ?. I'm using it until now and I've not faced any problem so far. Why they do that ?. Is there any person who get blocked due to using those hashtags ?.
