That all depends on your target or should i say desired profit. Yes holding gives more sense as you can take advantage of the convenience and yes to see the value of your investment decrease hurts. but there are points to consider, think you can still rebuy at the point where you invested. if you can rebuy at the same value or lower it is better.

Looking at how the market behaves during last 2 weeks, systematically alts tank when bitcoin makes a move (whether it’s up or down), except a few, which are always different from week to week. So I really wonder what’s the point of holding alts instead of bitcoin in the short/medium term. Otherwise, You have to bet on the right horse, which actually changes every week (Nano 2 weeks ago, VEN 1 week ago, and apparently IOTA now), and in the best case (and if you sell at the right time), it gets you 10% wrt BTC.

I think 3 is going to take a long time. Maybe a decade or more before we see widespread adoption. Iphone was introduced in 2007 and nearly 10 years after that, we live in a smartphone world.

My question is, what are you going to do after selling it at loss? Are you going to swear off cryptos after selling your coins for FIAT? If yes, then go ahead and sell it.

Otherwise, hold on until your profitability is in the green again.
