Ethereum and bitcoin will be the winners of this year in addition to many other altcoins. I am sure this year we will start to see big profits from now on. This natural altcoin and bitcoin season will also rise in price. but all coin prices depend on BTC. As BTC increases, other altcoin prices increase and vice versa

Is it not still too early to call the shots? This is not even half way past the line in the year, so early winners are not guaranteed to be late winners. Besides, what is it with price declaring wins and losses? If a coin achieves more development like Bitcoin has and pushed past challenges like scaling and regulation, we should take it also into consideration. Ethereum is also in the middle of Casper regeneration, maybe that will make it more successful. In the end, winner or loser, can we afford to dismiss either?

Why should there be a winner here? Ethereum is not a competitor of Bitcoin. Each of these coins plays a own unique role and there will not be a winner and loser here.

It is true that there is no competition to start with. Bitcoin and Ethereum are both useful for us crypto users, and it is up to us on which we will use more often. These currencies only do their function and we are here not to just use it  but also observe what will happen in the duture, and see if it benefits well the users.

What do you mean by winner? ethereum cant surpass bitcoin's yet because it doesnt improve its network, bitcoin and ethereum has congested network that is why ethereum shares the same problem of scalability when it comes of handling transactions, confirmation of tx and small blocksize which is why ethereum cant as of now, bitcoin would still be the dominant coin in the market.

BTC!
Not sure that ETH will show great results after opening a futures market. Remember what happened last year with BTC?

I believe ETH will lose in price 30-40% after that during few days. And, I don´t want, but predict maximum 1,2k$ this year. Hope no..

Hello everyone!

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.

On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

for now it will be still  bitcoin but in future it might be ethereum. Its true and im agree that bitcoin doesnt designed for broad usage. Bitcoin will  be gone in 2021 and i believe bch will be new bitcoin soon and ethereum will also become more stronger. Soi do think ethereum will be the market leader but long in the future.

I think BTC will always be the most successful crypto when compared to ethereum because ethereum price growth is much less in the previous years when comparing to bitcoin price chart. But other shitcoins will have super growth in very short time but it is hard to find those coin.As a bitcoin supporter I always like to stay with bitcoin forever.

and to this day bitcoin still remains the king of all crypto. even its value is very far from the value of ethereum. I like the ethereum, but if to compare it it is impossible for this year. even for the next few years.
because after all, bitcoin has become an essential part of the crypto industry.

I think bitcoin will always be a winner in the appeal of altcoin the other, maybe because bitcoin is the first altcoin on the cryptocurrency world. If the ETH can balance the BTC but the winner remains BTC.

I agree. Bitcoin is the first virtual currency and mother of all cryptocurrencies. It is the leading coin and the best coin that has grow greater. But both of this coin are one of the best and has big profit earned. They both have good management, well-established and well-organized. But one coin stand out and that is Bitcoin, it is the King of all cryptocurrency while Ethereum is the queen in this cryptocurrency world. Help and support these two coins and expect something good will happen.

I vote for Ethereum! It has grown 40 times in two years. You can create full-fledged blockchain applications without intermediaries. Namely, mathematically honest casinos and betting shops, currency exchanges, crowdfunding, simple notarization, release and storage of stock in the company. The projects work without the mediation of people, which takes away the opportunity to take the owners of the whole jackpot from the project and escape.

A very promising project, a productive team. "Ether" is the second market after bitcoin in capitalization, while it is still 10 times smaller — that is, even with a conservative forecast that no currency will become larger than bitcoin, it can grow 10 times.

As past. surely this time winners will be the BTC. Bitcoin die several times to get up with new rules. it is the core and all others are just children.

believe on BTC, Ethereum also a good investment. but cant beat BTC boss!

Decentralized Ascending Auctions on Blockchain

For this month, even bitcoin is more higher of price than ethereum, but I will purely announce that ethereum now defeated the price movement compare to bitcoin, because ethereum status growth of price is about 35% to 40% of total growth that happens only this month. And bitcoin price is something stay at the middle line without moving upward, and it is far opposite of what ethereum doing. But let us wait if bitcoin will change their status, and try to recover by some failures and by the end of this year, we can generally proclaim on which between the two are the real winner.

ETH's time's gonna come, and soon. I've always thought it still hasn't reached it's true all time high yet, and that's what we're gonna look at this 2018. The demand is there, the infrastructure is there, and the tech is working good. It just needs a major push for it to have a record bull run again.

I'm ready to bet that the BTC will never be defeated by any altcoin. Think about it, because it all started with bitcoin. It's like a story with gold or any other precious metal.

Bitcoin does not stand still, it develops. Therefore, I'm sure that bitcoin will hold the leader's place for a long time. This year I expect a very good growth of the entire crypt market, but many projects that do not have a product will die and all the funds I think will flow into bitcoin!
