Bitcoin still a king coin and  the market-driven coin! Most altcoins are traded through BTC / Altcoin pairs.
I think there is a need to change the dependence of altcoin prices on BTC in the coming time.

Both altcoin and bitcoin will take control of the market because bitcoin without these altcoins means that there could be a huge downfall on it since the market cap volume for altcoins now is relatively going stronger each day and it will be possible that it could beat bitcoin market price balance because there are so many altcoins in the market and if you combine those then probably it will surpass bitcoin market cap volume.

The volume of Bitcoin is extremely high compared to those alternative crypto currencies below Bitcoin and how would those alts beat Bitcoin if they are all combined?

Bitcoin's dominance is 47.6% which means 52.4% dominance are from alternative crypto currencies right? and this doesn't show that Bitcoin is already beaten down by alts, Why? If you study the chart of Coinmarketcap and take a look at Bitcoin, whenever Bitcoin is going down almost everything below Bitcoin is going down too and this clearly shows that every alternative crypto currencies are dependent on Bitcoin and even the combined market capitalization of every alt coins are combines it still means nothing compare to the market control of Bitcoin.

No hesitation and doubt but I will choose bitcoin always. Bare with me for being biased but that's what I believe. Well I respect altcoin as a system but I just love bitcoin so my support will always be there. This is a hard question since both coins has their own advantages and both of them are really good. But if I'm going to choose one I really agree that it will be bitcoin which will take over of the market. I think it has the edge over altcoin in many different ways and I believe that it is advanced system compare to altcoin.

IMHO altcoins are still very dependent with Bitcoin. Just look at the most recent bearish market. Bitcoin's price is also dragging down the altcoin market. Alts are still growing and maybe in the near future they might take control of the market. For now, btc is still on top.

bitcoin is a very strong crypto coin, but we need competitors! if the bitcoin has other high-capitalization krypto coins, then the market will not pay attention to the drop or growth of bitcoin! then the market can grow evenly up!
