Now the client gets stuck (no new blocks etc.) and I get a java.lang.NullPointerException at start. Also, the webpage title is "NRS", not "NXT". Is this right? Or is this a fake client (I downloaded it from the link at http://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,4.0.html) ? I didn't unlock my account as it seems strange. I thought my client was stuck too, but when I've logged out and back in, the block count increased. I really suggest pass tests on all platforms before releasing a new version. Now the value of Nxt increases more than 10x, it is no longer proper to release apparently buggy software handling large number of money. Usually I test new versions on my bootstrapping node. Always keep previous version to replace the new one if something wrong. Currently, the Windows version often fails in updating webpage before all blocks are downloaded, and people will think the client is not working during the long catching up period. After catching up, it works well for a long time and then some 'NullPointer' Errors show up.

I can see a lot of connections from the same IP and the number of them keeps increasing. Is it normal?

It seems to me that a bot net is being used. Requests go from different IPs all over the world. I have to admit this anonymous hacker does us a big favor, coz lets to find flaws and become ready for a government-level attack.

A question:
If i have 100nxt, and i find a block with 1nxt fee. After that block, am i mining with 101nxt or it will be effective with my next account unlock?
technically i mean if client update the user balance during the block probability calculation with the latest user balance?

Hi! I´ve made a short FAQ that could be added to the first site. Could you please re-write it and put in your thoughts/correct me where I was wrong? How do I start mining? You can´t. NXT is the first 100% Proof-of-Stake coin, which means that you will not be able to "mine" new coins. You get coins by processing transactions and receiving the transaction fees for them. Was NXT pre-mined? I see on coinmarketcap.com that the total supply is already at 1 000 000 000. Why?All coins were released at the genesis block and all those coins were bought by people, the so called early investors, who made the project possible by paying for the development, but there are still unclaimed coins, which will be distributed after going live if they remain unclaimed. The creation of the genesis block was fully public: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303898.msg3652710#msg3652710So I have to buy coins to own them.. that´s not so funny...If you´d like to own some BTC, or any of the other altcoins, you have to invest in mining hardware to be able to mine some coins. With NXT, you buy the actual amount of coins to start "mining". No additional costs, no mining hardware needed. And where can I get some coins? Can I get them for free? You can check out the Nxt Bounty Thread, the Nxt Giveaway Thread, the Nxt Buying / Selling Thread or simply go to DGex.com to trade BTC for Nxt. It is the interest of the stakeholders that their coins are distributed amongst the community, otherwise they would only have large, worthless numbers on their account. You should be very careful by trading coins over the internet! If you buy coins from someone directly, try to break the amount in smaller groups! (Example: Trading 200 000 NXT for 1 BTC breaking down to 20 000 NXT/0.1 BTC packages) Can I access my wallet from another computer?Yes, as there is no wallet file, the account can be accessed from anywhere, but you should use a strong passphrase as that´s the only thing that protects your coins from others. (The authorization might be rewritten / updated later) I have some coins in my account. How can I start processing transactions? You can start processing transactions once the first amount in your account was confirmed 1440 times. This usually takes a day. You will se a link on the user interface when you can start processing. Donations very appreciated:) 7704473502402320783
