Is anyone going to implement the anti DDoS measures I posted? Maybe tweak them for Ubuntu/Debian too?

EDIT: Guys we need to focus on the securities issues asap, we are going for prime time and must be sure everything will run smooth!

U can't do that until it's approved by the stakeholders and implemented by developers.

http://nxtra.org/alias/NxtAliasSystem.xpi (don't bother downloading if you are not using firefox).

This extension enables nxt aliases in the firefox browser.

You will be able to type nxt:google and be redirected to google.

This is the real-world application of the Nxt alias sytem.

I'm trying to do something similar for Chrome too.

Something with the word "coin(s)".

Wouldn't it be useful and naturally understandable, if we would use the following wording pattern for Nxt:

- Nxt
- Nxt coins
- Nxt messaging
- Nxt ...

So many people understand ***coins today, and it would work with our Nxt system, wouldn't it? To enforce people to not use "coin" is kinda weird... The whole system is called NXT, and it has many features like nxt coins and so on.

edit: Oh, you mean aim? I want to clarify this important matter before we go public in january and all the marketing material is written.

BUMP! The URI is wrong in my assignment. The addon works fine!

Great, one thing though: the extension will only show websites that start with http / https. It won't work if you just have an alias with value "google.com" - if you want it to be treated as a website, add the http statement.

It's so strange today. My block chain was stuck, and then I deleted all the directory and unziped 0.4.7. However, it still stuck at 24225, and there are 32 active peers and 630 known peers. What's the problem?

It is just like adding a feature to nxt network to counterreact hoarding. If you want all kind of cool stufs for nxt why don't you want a feature that will make nxt a sustainable system? I am big stake definitely in top100. I am also economist. I am taking a position for the best of nxt network and the idea of decentralization.

U should pay attention to difficulty adjusting algo and ask urself why BCNext coded it such the way. Just a hint

The problem with chrome is that it doesn't support custom protocols (nxt:)

There is support for something like this though: "web+nxt:blabla", or "nxt _TABKEY_ blabla".

I'm going to do the second approach for now.
