Cheesy

coca-cola is not gonna be too happy either

good thing is, they can't sue someone within nxt-space for aliases,
there is only a nice big buy button where they can choose from.  Grin

but they can alway find the owner thru Nxt-Messenger

how and then?

Nxt-search tells:

1) Account owner
2) URI linkages
3) If Buyable Asset

Action:

1) Ping account owner with Buy request
2) Match Sellers Bid on Asset Exchange

Edit: When you buy the alias you can chose to buy the linkages as well...lets say an Alias has a million links then that in itself can be a very valuable thing indeed.

regarding the logo of next I’m proposing to major stakeholders big stashes of nxt make one with the help of 99designs.com ,I've made my self there a logo for a project I'm working on at the moment (sorry but I cant show it in public yet, may be in private only, since the project isnt ready) , and I can tell you that all this logos which are made until now on the forums are just junk comparing with the ones that its possible to choose from 99designs ...

... it will cost $1199  to make a brilliant logo

I can take it on me, just send me NXT/BTC/LTC worth 1199$ and I can assure you it will be the best logo ever.

just buy it yourself and present it to the community, if we like it, we will reimburse you plus a bonus Wink

How long should I wait after restarting? For one server I've been waiting for 10 mins and it's still stuck in 26724.

Well, it depends on what is going on. Set "communicationLoggingMask" to "3" in web.xml and read the log. If u see a lot of "connection timeout" errors then set "connectTimeout" and "readTimeout" to higher values. Also make sure that "pullThreshold" is "1" or higher.

It's the world of cryptoanarchy. There is no such word as "legal".

isn't it nessesary to adding some prefix standard to prevent content validating by parsing?
this number could be an account/transaction/block or even an phone/zip number or encoded gps location.
how could a jumpcenter find out what entity is behind this content without a declaration prefix?
entity parsing and validating doesn't work reliable this way or do i miss something here?

any takers here?

So what? It's nothing to do with legality. Nxt aliase is legal if it's following Nxt protocol while being used (another words: if network's healthy). Nothing more.

Which is true for both sides, as Snowden has shown us.

Even íf a judge would follow current jurisdiction, that only gives protection to hugely inflated prices. The best they can do is force the owner of the alias to sell it at market rates that they would have to pay anyway.

I predict that the market rate of the cocacola alias will be high anyway (as for any other major brand) so anyone owning them stands to make a tidy profit anyway  Smiley

Idea:

Couldn;t a Pizza store link all it's customers accounts back to its alias (account)....basically two way communication link:

1) The Pizza store can communicate deals or special discounts for the 1st 25 buyers as example.

2) You pizza lover receives that msg to your alias linked to the stores alias....you like the deal so you immediately transmit payment from your alias (account) back to the store.

Instant and secure....no one has this yet.

At the other hand someday in some country whole Nxt could be illegal. I think that laws'd be based on ethics, and such system as Nxt protects some of almost universally recognized human rights. So everyone thinking is facing a choice: fight (with options of intense of battle) for ethics of fold. And for sure some people'll fight for their own ethics like some well-known Norwegian did...
