I don't think that is a huge issues. The 250m are most likely from people that don't even know that you have to make a transaction to create a public key. Hell i didn't know until 7 days ago and i have 6 digits of them...
It is not clear to me (and possible to others). What is the difference between accounts with pubkey and without? My digits are also worried.

Announcing the MyNxt.info block explorerhttp://www.mynxt.info/blockexplorerI thought it would be good to have another option for a block explorer. This one is simpler than the existing block explorer and I intend to keep it this way, but I think it is useful for most tasks. Features: - block details - account details - transaction details - latest blocks - latest transactions I will be adding block/account/transaction search functionality later today. It is still pretty much alpha software, I am playing with some of the parameters and changing things but I would appreciate if people could take a look and give me feedback. Let me know if you find any problems/bugs/etc. Search functionality is now working! I'll add some more features tomorrow.

To avoid a situation similar to Bitcoin when we don't know if Satoshi lost his keys or just waiting for 1 BTC = 1000000 USD price. In Nxt, if someone doesn't reveal his public key even in 5 years, we can guess that he lost the key (or has balls of steel).
Mgm. But in both cases we're still just guessing. Avoiding what exactly?

Same for me. Also, value for "Total Transactions" says 100 but that is not right, I registered more than 600 aliases by now.

It is not clear to me (and possible to others). What is the difference between accounts with pubkey and without? My digits are also worried. Accounts without a pubkey are only protected by 64bits. It is a first used, first gets basis. Basically even if you created the account by funding it, if you never associate a pubkey to the acct, ANYBODY who stumbles onto the 64bit key will control the account with their 256bit key. The risk of keys being intercepted online is the usual reason people have for sending funds to an acct, but never using that acct. This backfires. Best to do one transaction. Any transaction and get 256 bit protection which is not projected to be cracked for at least another 8.957 years. Just kidding, 256 bit passwords with high entropy that new clients will enforce (hopefully) will be safe until further notice. Need some giant breakthroughs in crypto busting algorithms or hardware (quantum computers from the future) to even have a chance at breaking 256 bit keys. 64 bit keys, not so strong. Dedicated banks of ASICS could probably become a threat in as little as 5 years. For significant holdings I recommend a fragmented wallet, eg. 10% in 10 different wallets each with different keys. well, who knows but it is unlikely that a user/s sends again to the same wrong account. if my script hasn't any fundamental error i would say there are ~26m nxt hibernating.
Well, my whole idea for tracking the hibernating NXT was to be able to tell how much was secured by only 2^64. I guess you or others may have different reasons for tracking it?

Hello friends, Another question for my Nxtmyths video: Who "works" for Nxt fulltime? Who spends on developing / PR / community helping 40-90 hours/week? I didn't spend hours on doing this list, so anyone can tell me and I will add him. I am pretty sure about bolded people, but others are only a guess, so you can tell me if you belong to the list of people who work for Nxt fulltime (haven't got another job or work for Nxt during his regular job for 40 hours/week+) Developers: BCNext, Come-from-Beyond, Jean-Luc, Klee's crew: Vasilis Kokkinidis, Grigoris Grigoriadis, 2X84, abuelau, BaiMangal, Ferment, maco, nexern, wesleyh, yueye000, GCInc., Debuggers: Ricot, ImmortAlex, FrictionlessCoin Managing PR: Utopianfuture, Joefox, Uniqueorn, NiftyNikel, SalsaczHelpers: Pinarello, johnycrypt, Rickyjames, Graphic designers: thanks for now, but more questions and PMs will come BTW who missed my Questionnaire about Nxt myths, you can still fill it here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ksk6tgs6gfrYZLd30NWQw3VfrTkKavHPHlxvnV0sD1E/viewformBump BTW Thank you for Questionnaire, 40 people already sent their opinion about Nxtmyths. Do not hesitate to post other myths that weren't mentioned in the form

does anybody know about mcjavar? We were in the middle of a transaction, he sent me NXT, I sent BTC, he disappeared I hope he is just offline, but timing is a bit distressing. I received 13K, so I sent the full 2BTC, expecting 20334 more NXT to arrive. His acct he sent it from is empty: 11433600460445633305 **** My BTC: 12UBzX8csUVpaPYya8aw7WWU8L3sQ6X6xo Please send the 2 BTC to this address and I will deliver the other 20334 from my main account, but I want to make sure that you receive the first 13k.. **** bitcoin transaction 5a173ed430eb61274a518d87b2ef8d128c8685aea39ed90e3d2feca6341f32db James P.S. I know I shouldn't have sent all 2BTC, but I had dealt with him before, never expected any funny business over 1.2 BTC We really need a safe place to trade NXT!

I guess you or others may have different reasons for tracking it? it could have statistical value later but i doubt these numbers are reliable. for the future, lost or hibernating funds could be relevant to calculate and estimate upcoming transaction volumes e.g. to feed a forging calculator. but as said, they are max. a rough indicator nothing more from my pov.
