The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Well, just other accounts. Not sold.. The current volume is only $12k.

Ripple is taking volume away & Nxtchg.com...did you see how Ripple volume jumped once people started trading on their platform.

Edit: IF we trade on other platforms it doesn't show up on Nxt volume via coinmarketcap.

But it's only temporary fix for now.

I think CMC's feed got desynced from DGEX, as DGEX has at least $200k in the last 24h.

Well, nevermind. Once the asset exchange is online it will be another story. Wink

CfB:

The API call for broadcasting a transaction:
Code:
http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=broadcastTransaction&transactionBytes=TX_BYTECODE

Is this to make a transaction with my own transactionBytes? Is it possible to insert a message in bytecode here, to use it as a messenger?

If yes, how can I transform my message into bytecode?

5) Are there api's already for asset exchange? If so, would it not be easy to make a simple HTML client? (I would be willing to make this ad interim if nexern's client is still months away)

API is ready. To make an HTML client we need JS library for signing/verification (look at that bounty).

What does "broadcasting" means? Is there a way to implement a message in a transaction?

It's used to force peers to recall a transaction if they forgot about it.

Edit: Very soon we'll get Arbitrary Messages.

@CfB

This idea is being pushed by Neon....can it work in Nxt aswell?

@Spam on the network (Instant messaging). We have a very nice system for that. To start a chat you will have to pay the minfee from then on if you stay at a given rate of traffic per minute, the chatting is free.  If you want to upload or transfer files, you will pay per byte, and this rate per kb or mb is set on a traffic marketplace.

Is it possible to map traffic on the Nxt network and arrange something similar to this?

Edit: How similar is Arbitrary messaging to the above?

You just saved me one hour from preparations for Nxtmyths video Cheesy

Problem is with moving accounts - someone could transfer all Nxt to the other accounts.

Is there also a list of the biggest Nxt transactions? Smiley

History of accounts created in november and their current balance. We can assume that the initial holders transferred to new accounts in the same month still (they had more than a week time).

So if I can clarify more....

1) Nxt is able to do CHAT.

2) Service providers can track traffic usage, flows, etc on the Network

3) Nxt can have a traffic marketplace enabled thru service providers.

I try to keep upto date on things but i;m still confused as to who or what is a service provider.
