Hello friends,
Another question for my Nxtmyths video:

Who "works" for Nxt fulltime? Who spends on developing / PR / community helping 40-90 hours/week?

I didn't spend hours on doing this list, so anyone can tell me and I will add him. I am pretty sure about bolded people, but others are only a guess, so you can tell me if you belong to the list of people who work for Nxt fulltime (haven't got another job or work for Nxt during his regular job for 40 hours/week+)

Developers:
BCNext, Come-from-Beyond, Jean-Luc, Klee's crew: Vasilis Kokkinidis,  Grigoris Grigoriadis, Huh

2X84, abuelau, BaiMangal, Ferment, maco, nexern, wesleyh, yueye000, GCInc.,

Debuggers:
Ricot, ImmortAlex, FrictionlessCoin

Managing PR:
Utopianfuture, Joefox, Uniqueorn, NiftyNikel, Salsacz

Helpers:
Pinarello, johnycrypt, Rickyjames,

Graphic designers:

thanks for now, but more questions and PMs will come Smiley

BTW who missed my Questionairre about Nxt myths, you can still fill it here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ksk6tgs6gfrYZLd30NWQw3VfrTkKavHPHlxvnV0sD1E/viewform

Bump, I register also half-timers, these already replied:

Devs:
Abuelau, Graviton (GCInc.) + his assistant, nexern, ImmortAlex,

PR:
Salsacz, Pinarello, Joefox

It went crazy so I upgraded to 0.5.1 and after it went crazy the exact same
way as 0.5 previously, the only thing that helped was creation of blockchain.nrs in NXT root directory. Everything worked fine afterwards,
node is up few hours now without any signs of going crazy again.
You can keep blockchain.nrs there if it brings you good luck. But the code is not using it.

Who "works" for Nxt fulltime?

Why do you need it? Like "NXT ecosystem is actively developed by this many people"?

I work full-time on NXT-related thingy right now. But my nick is a site URL (which was probably not a very good idea Smiley )

So if you want to include me into a number, that's fine, but if you want to mention me in some sort of "credits", that's problematic...

Edit: hey, you can strip the ".com", you'll get something that looks like a nick Smiley

No need to kill Java process because it can cause problems, you can gracefully stop NXT this way:

A graceful kill is ok.

Code:
$ kill 69131

2014-01-07 13:26:12.052:INFO:oejs.ServerConnector:Thread-0: Stopped ServerConnector@313dd04a{HTTP/1.1}{0.0.0.0:7874}

[2014-01-07 13:26:13.732] Nxt stopped.

"Nxt stopped." is output from the HttpServlet's destroy method.

22k.io: nxt search and explore

It's a new version of 22k.io! You can do some neat stuff.

- New design!
- New index that is less susceptible to the blockchain getting out of sync.
- Home page search supports typeahead of alias names! Check it out.
- Pretty URLS like /account and /alias!
- "Tiny urls" using nxt aliases http://22k.io/go/google
- Inspect an alias including owner: http://22k.io/alias/nrsversion
- Inspect an account: http://22k.io/account/4915862015826193000
- /block and /transaction coming soon

Known issues: duplicates in search results, no pagination

Tips appreciated: 4915862015826193000. Thanks!

I'm working on setting up a news site, purchased nxtnews.co and of course the alias..

setting up a host and getting wordpress installed.  plan on an honest, unfiltered outlet for articles, charts, and trends.

if anyone had any suggestions or wants to contribute, please let me know

We do have http://info.nxtcrypto.org as our news site that is updated very regularly.  also there is a forum for news items discussion at https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewforum.php?f=49  please give it another shot - we've recently changed the site look.

We're always happy for increased contribution in the forums!

Hey opticalcarrier, thanks for those links, I know about nxtcrypto and have even contributed articles, but there is some biased editing going on there.  i had articles killed on nxt gambling sites and more importantly on dgex adding fees. these are important things for the community to know, and its not acceptable to just pretend all is hunky dory.

I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I think we as investors need to full story.

All nodes have 1100-3000 unconfirmed transactions, no orphan blocks.
Restarting helps clear those unconfirmed txs to 0.
Some monkey business going on here.

yes, you a right. looks strange, many dgex transfers inside.

ps: still growing...

pps: perhaps some script-based broadcasts?

It's due to minus blocks bug. Unconfirmed transactions list is not cleaned in this case.

5) Are there api's already for asset exchange? If so, would it not be easy to make a simple HTML client? (I would be willing to make this ad interim if nexern's client is still months away)

API is ready. To make an HTML client we need JS library for signing/verification (look at that bounty).

Problem is no known javascript library exists that implements curve5xx verification. Only signing. To make that from scratch is out of my league ;-)

Curve25519 is not enough. We need JS-implementation of EC-KCDSA based on Curve25519...

does this help http://cr.yp.to/ecdh.html ?

Another representation of the current nxt distribution:

Notes:
 - Size of rectangle is proportional to amount of nxt
 - Colours:
     i) accounts shown in green have a public key
ii) accounts shown in red don't have a public key
iii) accounts shown in blue represent my personal stash
 - 1 Account != 1 Person. For instance, dgex has at least two large accounts; there are community accounts, donation accounts, etc; plus some people have multiple accounts
 - There may of course be mistakes in my script, so the diagram may be completely wrong

That looks a bit better than the bars. guess it just depends how you see it, but in the end this distribution over accounts doesn't mean much. it just depends on how NXT is distributed over REAL people Wink
which we obviously can't measure ...

Wrong Grin Better ask cfb Wink

I already asked Code-from-Beyonce how he forged so much by sending him 2 NXT and using the "alias-message-system"(AMS).
