What's the smallest worthwhile amount to get of nxt for an investment? I've got 16 LTC, not much.
If nxt makes it big than i would say that 10000 is about what you would need inorder to retire early and live well. it would be like having 210 bitcoins. (21million/1billion)*10000=210 Agreed. When NXT makes it big....not if I was surprised to see Anon's numbers (1NXT=1BTC). My guess of NXT sitting in LTC territory in a few years is wildly optimistic. Where do you guys think NXT will be in 6 months?

NxtMyth - Stakeholders can manipulate the "Coin" Troll: please can someone tell me if NEXTcoin is a scam, anyone has a link that says is a scam, it seems a very manipulated coin controlled by a few that make them going up for them to get rich and then drop te value very quick, it does not smell good to me this Nextcoin Salsacz: SySGlSLl.jpg Should we worry about the growing trend of "out from DGES" ? we should be happy, Nxt doesn't like centralized exchanges, especially with the monopol

Hey, NXT peeps.
First question :
Just about to upgrade my home PCs and maybe VPS to 5.7.
Got prompted by Java for an upgrade to Java 7 update 51....anyone had any issues with this Java version and the newest NRS ?
Second question:
Running a basic Amazon VPS on the almost free plan for a few days now. Just started to get into being billed, it's now costing me around 7 or 8 dollarcents per day. What sort of costs are other guys/girls/humanoids with Amazon (or other) VPSes seeing ?
I'll put up a thread on nxtcrypto to save wear and tear on this thread......
I have the same as you I think, windows 2008 server free EC2 on amazone. Till now its free, I wonder why you have to pay?

I got about 4 or 5 days of free, then started to get costs. Have u checked your billing lately ? I'm good with 7 or 8 cents per day, its about one decent cup of coffee per month. Might have a look later on, see if I can figure out what i'm paying for.... Nxtcrypto thread about VPS costs:https://forums.nxtcrypto.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=591Please use it, could be useful information for the community as a whole.

I've got a general question about the NXT blockchain. How big is it today in MB? How big do we expect it to be after 1M transactions? 10M? 100M? Is there any real plan to prune it or store it only on some nodes with other nodes only accessing an indexed part of it? I see how transparent forging is better than PoW mining. WHat have we got to claim a superior second-generation blockchain, particularly since we are updating it 10X faster than Bitcoin's and plan to add all sorts of features into it?
Gotta understand the blockchain to write it up in the whitepaper...

There's the upcoming block shrinking/pruning, but I'm not sure if CfB has given specifics.

@ Pin:
figured it out on the VPS, I'm paying for I/O requests. Here is my billing to date:
EBS $0.00 for the first 2 million I/O requests under monthly free tier 2,000,000 IOs $0.00 $0.00 per GB-month of provisioned storage under monthly free tier 5.484 GB-Mo $0.00 $0.10 per 1 million I/O requests 1,343,218 IOs $0.13 Total: $0.13 Region Total: $0.13
+ 3 dollarcents tax, brings me to a total of $0.16. The swine....
@ rickyjames: Howdy, Marshal. *Tips hat*

There's the upcoming block shrinking/pruning, but I'm not sure if CfB has given specifics. See, we need details and specifics like that if we're going to do a whitepaper...and that's true on many NXT topics. The more I research all of this to get up to speed to write a whitepaper, the more I realize how ignorant I am of what's under the NXT hood. I also think Bitcoin will implode within a year, the only question is whether it happens from blockchain freeze or miner flameout. @EvilDave - <tips hat back, with a hint of a smile>

Come-from-Beyond, please my paper: BCNext paid a team of core developers to help him with the client and create some functionalities like decentralized exchanges. One member of the core development team Come-from-Beyond was paid by BCNext to work on Nxt from December 2013 till April 2014. Come-from-Beyond is a 34 years old programmer from Belarus. On January 2014 joined Jen-Luc a core team as a non-paid programmer. May I know how many core developers exist? BCNext paid your team - so how many people are in your "team"?

Nope! Your coins are not on your computer; they're on the network. Just do your restore, reinstall the software and unlock your wallet again -- your coins will be there.

+10....yep! Remember: your passphrase is your account. No wallet, no backup. Passphrase gone = NXT gone. So make sure u write yr passphrase down on a little piece of paper, or in the back of the most boring book u own. Or embed it in some other text (or whatever) document, or get a tattoo..... Just don't lose it.
