It's in there.  Obviously the launch is why everyone is calling it a scam, they are angry they didn't see the windfall like the original 73 stakeholders.

No beta, internal pre-sale, not a scamcoin?

Scam coin it is a coin which wasn't released by its creator. Nxt has been released. What you call "scam coin" actually means "what a dumbass I am, I shoud have realised that it's going to be big". But hey, you still got a chance coz it's going to grow at least x20 within this year.

You want me to purchase your NXT?

I'm not going to sell my Nxt until it's at least $0.5. Then I'll probably sell some and buy a new car.

No beta [snip]

The Nxt detractors really need to coordinate their talking points --

"It's still in alpha, client is half-baked, it's missing promised features, not listed on major exchange..."

Which is it?

did you see what bitcoin looked when it was 1+ months old?

oh yeah bitcoin is still in beta too.

Don't compare NXT and BTC, Btc is not pre-mining. At least btc is not pre-mining serious.

You can compare eMu, EMu has a client, but beta is testing, and not pre-sale yet.

Hi, I am interested in Nxt and ready to invest some money in it.  But first can you answer this one question for me, what is scarce about Nxt?  With Bitcoin, if someone copies and pastes the source code, its not the same because nobody can just copy and paste the mining network.  Please explain what prevents somebody from copying and pasting the Nxt source to make Nxt1, Nxt2, Nxt3, Nxt4 …. ??

Actually, he can still catch the boat - NXT is low priced atm...

Nothing stops him from copying code (in a couple of months), generating another genesis block and start his business

But what is more difficult to copy:
- brilliant devs
- an awesome community
-...

NXT has the energy of a cruise liner at full speed

but wait a second.  Devs are cool and all but they generate more source code.  What will prevent me from copying the Nxt source code right now and all Nxt developments, including future developments?

Because wesley's send tool doesn't support it (yet?) - client software has to take care of en-/decryption

He needs to do more research before he deserves to be in the boat IMHO.

There is nothing preventing someone from making an alt-coin based on 100% POS.  BTC is the first cyrptocurrency to use POW to decentralize information.  NXT is the first 100% POS to decentralize information.

How many POW alt-coins have a current market cap larger than the first POW based coin BTC?  None.
So its up to you to consider how many 100% POS alt-coins will have a larger market cap than NXT?

I really don't see it.  NXT is unique just like BTC is.

Only time will tell.

Right now, the bitbucket code has three flaws (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397183.0) and is not up to speed (older version)

The current running code can be decompiled though and yes, copied and released as NXT2
but copying all future codes is A. a lot of work, B. you always lag behind, C. if you are not really up to it you could be played (and copy coin killed), D. there's certainly more reasons
(That's a general topic concerning all open source code)

ok so rather than invest in Nxt, I should copy and paste the source as Nxt2?  Im getting confused here.  If I were to make a Nxt2, would I have to actually publicly ask for >21 BTC or could I just ask for .0001 BTC from at least 50 people and then start it?

WARNING!

Wow! If that's the case, users better be warned, before someone sends out some confidential info.
I don't think we should not include something of this nature into the official stable version without adequate warning on the messaging page or elsewhere.

What happened to the original 21 BTC?  Were they permanently removed from circulation?  If so, how did the original donors feel about giving $210 to the Winklvii?  Considering they own 1% of all bitcoin and the permanent removal of BTC means their BTC holdings went up in value proportionately
