All, Ive asked QBTC to list her out of pocket expenses so far for website. Obviously, she should be reimbursed from unclaimed NXT for this, hopefully along with a bit of bounty for her hours and hours and hours of professional services on the site. And the community will need to determine if she should scale back the performance of the site to lower the bills. Obviously she cannot continue to fund the www site like she has been doing. If the community doesnt want her to continue running it then at least reimburse her for the $ she's spent on it so far. I made a proposal yesterday for at least her cost so far (which is considerable, btw) to be reimbursed directly from unclaimed coins since she has already provided those services. But no one seems to want to do that, so I guess we probably wont have a www site whenever the monthly cost for it is due again. I was thinking that we could pay her costs from until now directly from unclaimed NXT, and the future costs would come from marketing fund, but at this point it looks like we wont have a web site too much longer, unless someone else wants to just pay the cost out of their own pocket as well as do all the work themselves. WTFO? Personally I think she has been doing a phenomenal job and the lot of you are complete assholes for making me write all this up. You read my mind: only seven minutes apart we post basically the same message: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412243.msg4920408#msg4920408

NXTcommunityfund updateAs directed by James (jl777), who has sole authority to allocate the NXTcommunityfund, I have transferred 75K NXT to 2037401990853753795 ( I believe this is controlled by Salsacz) as partial payment towards the Let'sTalkBitcoin audio advertising campaign. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412243.msg4909278#msg4909278There have been two contributions by unknown (to me, anyway) donors into NXTcommunityfund since my last report. These generous contributions were for 99,499 NXT and 500,000 NXT. Thank you, generous donors !!! With these two deposits and one withdrawal (plus a 1 NXT fee), the current balance of NXTcommunityfund now stands at 2,652,506 NXT valued at $178,877.29.

Someone was talking about wanting bandwidht limitation for nxt-client, well here it goes. I will as usual refer to my install script for debian and ubuntu -alike operativesystems. 1. Installs or upgrades latest version of nxt-client (or you can specify version as well) 2. Installs (ask user if they want to) all packages that is needed for the client and my scripts. 3. It now supports bandwidths throttling per port (7874). 4. Everything is configured in /etc/nxt/nxt.conf 5. Everything is run via /etc/init.d/nxtclient (which also runs a boot, of course) https://github.com/jobbet/nxt/EDIT: for those who are interested about the bandwidht throttling, see traflimit function in nxtclient Regards j0b

Quantum Tunneling. Or we could hire a big truck, it is a lot of people. (Seriously, we just open threads on the new forum, with a link to the old forum threads. People will use both forums for a while, then, hopefully, everyone will slowly move on over to the new.) @Damelon: yeah, I really like the BTT thread layout. Nextcoin is almost as good, but nxtcrypto just doesn't do it for me.

forging next is a joke if you dont havemillions.. let the millionare stackholders do the dirty job and run the java shity client...they arethe only who earn money forging I quit to open java client because simply i didnt forge anything.
Maybe I'm misinterpreting your tone here, but forging NXT is no different than bitcoin in that you need money to make money... you gotta have $10,000 USD to buy a Neptune mining rig (or whatever the f*ck they're called these days). Buying an $89 USB ASIC TV stick does not launch a career in mining, nor in forging depending on NXT amount.Nxt isn't magic for beginners with no money but hopes of making a career out of skimming fees. Nxt is all about forward-thinking features and a group of people that bust their asses because we don't have crutches like memes or pseudo-celebrity coin logos.

I've been an admin on a big forum (weebl forum in the glory years) for years and basically I dislike the layout and use of nxtcrypto.
It's very hard to keep good track of threads on it and it's hard to read. Simply having striped posts installed (different tones for alternate posts) would help immensely.
The main thing however would be to actually dó the move. If we are half committed and all tech people stay in here, it just won't happen.
Running a forum is hard work. Getting a crack team of moderators that balance being fun ánd be able to use the whip while being able to withstand some criticism is also hard.
I'm all for moving, but somehow I don't feel either of the forums will work the way they are. (Italic for emphasis)
you can set your own different theme for NXTCrypto.org forums. I use the prosilver theme which does have that striped alternate posts thing. Prosilver also is waaaay more efficient on screen real estate

at this point, just pay her costs till now and maybe to cover next month directly from unclaimed NXT. so she doesnt have to operate at a loss anymore. future www site costs can come from the committee

Regards j0b yes, I had problems with openjdk, client didn't work, had to go to oracle, but it was easy. Maybe you should add choosing between java options in your install script? if somebody also tries to run client on TV stick, this script would help a lot, all could be done in automated way.
