What is so special about platform which is in my opinion jumping point for many fake initial coin offers?
It is not a currency. I would have understood value if ether was currency, but it is not.

First mover in smart-contract platforms. Also every coin that does well on ethereum makes ethereum do well. With the idea that smart-contract platforms could break open trillion dollar markets the valuation isn't completely ridiculous. It might be early however and there are some decent alternatives.

Etheruem created a whole new world of blockchain whereby many companies and startups are able to leverage on its ER20 platform for their ICO and many of them lead to success and increase in wealth.
I would certainly say, although the world's economy is not doing well, Ethereum "created" wealth during these time where miners, ICO, investors earn lots of money from it and many more to come!

In short, Ethereum has a working product which is smart contract and has a huge user base who use ETH. The bigger the demand, the higher the price will go.

Ethereum is one of the most used blockchain technology it’s not only allowing smartcontracts or token . More than that it’s having business concept each token transaction required gas . So each transaction in ethereum network will increase its value . But my concern only about ethereum max supply.

you can't blame Ethereum for the platform of being a jumping point of current fake ICO. a lot of ICO that already successfull by ERC20 platform is enough to make this coin much reliable. it's like they offer you car for rent. and ICO was the driver, and then the driver try to scam you. would you blame the driver or the car ? or even the one that offer that car ? be smart. ethereum has so many advantages of its use. maybe its just they need to fix it those problem which you mentioned above |

Vitalik has made a post in his twitter: Sharding is coming. Which means that Ethereum network will have a hardfork. It's needed to partially change the Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stakes algorithm. It'll change the way of mining, so we can expect the big changes in Ehereum network soon.

With so many ICO projects launching on ETH platform, investors are buying ETH to invest in the projects. This will push the price higher. Although, there are other alternative platform such as Neo, Eth has the first mover advantage.

It is just a better coin than other thanks to diffrent technology and making transcation in some diffrent way, this coin will be second one on market for long years in my opinion. |
