Yes,but play it safe, don't get yourself if debt for it,and take into account it could drop 50% or more,and you should be able to keep your head cool and wait for it to recover,or even carry on with your life it it goes to 0.

edit: also i'd say don't bother with mining it's a lot more investment,and more risky,your equipment is garanteed to become too weak in some months to a year,you are not sure to break even,it's more likely you earn more just hodling.

Well it's only as good as how the investor deals with the investment. If the investor is aiming for quick profits, then i think it'll be a bad idea since the volatility of the market will greatly sway thr value. If the person is someone who knows how to properly manage his investments and have the long term outlook, then it is more than a good investment
