if you are in the USA and bought 2 Z9s, you can pretty bet on getting the tariff. get your checkbook ready as those two miners combined are thousands of dollars that will not be unnoticed.

Aye, I'm expecting to get hit for $2500 (3319*3*0.25)... but praying they get through without that hit. The power supplies ship separate, with a unique invoice and a different HST code.. I haven't looked that code up to see what bracket it fits in... here's to hodling to earn back later.

I think the current tariff is hit and miss.  I brought in 20 z9 minis through Fedex in two separate shipments and looks like I escaped the tariffs both times.  Fedex did the clearance with formal entrees.  No idea what HS Code they used.

Reports throughout this thread seem to indicate that some are getting charged and others are not.  So good luck with that.

But I'm pretty sure when/if the next round of tariffs is approved, we will all be paying on everything coming in from China. No more Antminer orders for me until that is resolved and the tariffs go away.

From my experience being in importer of Chinese goods for about 10 years now. Fedex will send you a nice invoice in 2-4 weeks. So look out for it.

count your blessings that Fedex may have not fixed this yet. the HTS code is wrong, there was ruling to change it for miners being imported. if they missed you then be happy. i know that UPS has caught up to speed on this. don't ask me how i know and how much i paid.

My batch 1 is completely stable at 750M and has been running since the day I received. Batch 2 units I can't run higher than 650M.

This matches my results.  I started all of my batch 2 units at 681 and have been down-clocking when a string crashes.  Most are now running 650 or slightly faster.  All of my batch 1 are still running stable at 750.

what did you expect then ? the Equihash network is relatively small and mainly run by nvidia gpus. 1 z9 mini over-clocked z9 mini = 12 * gtx 1080ti ! 190% in 90 days change is nothing. now that they sell for cheaper, you should expect something like 1900% pretty soon. those z9 minis will do MAX 1-2  $ daily at most in 2 months at most ! . mark my words come back in NOV.

well i don’t own any but thats kinda a crazy drop in profits since all gpu miners have already been pushed out so it should not be as high difficulty rises since batch 3 has just started to ship

Items under $2500 probably would get through unless a whole container or other bulk grouping was identified. under $2500 is considered non-commercial and can automatically pass through without "formal" paperwork (at least according to my minimal research). Over $2500 is considered "Commercial" and requires some formal processes.
