I found this expression on the news channel about the crypto currency: "Anyone who will try  to buy coffee for cash in 2023, runs the risk of causing laughter from the seller, that he does not use crypto currency."

It might be a joke today but come 2023 that coffee you crave for will be bought with yourr favourite cryptocurrency and the joke will be on those that did not believe this will be possible.

Quote
how do you think, is it realistic? Can a crypto currency replace national  money?
I think that it's possible, but it will take more time.
Some countries are already pushing for a state backed crypto and one example of such a country is Estonia....I guess what was a speculation few years back is turning into reality but am not sure if fiat will be replaced.

Bitcoin has a full potential of surviving and being used in the future, but it cannot take the filull position or replace the national fiat currency. The national currency of every country represents that country, and there are faces on every country's currency, so what face will it have....?

Currency cryptocurrency is the virtual currency and digital currency that can not be controlled by the government and the bank. Conversely, if the national money is a flat money in the control by the government and the bank.

Cryptocurrency is a digital online currency; we can't touch them. The national money is a big thing, So, cryptocurrency can't overcome national currency. And, I think that will be not good for any country if cryptocurrency will be their national currency. Think, We know crypto coins is volatile, sometimes it will be good in price and sometimes will be worst. There are many poor people in a country, and they will suffer it, Governments can't control the price, and the nation may face a huge problem. So, overall it will not be good.

We will never know what will happen in the future but with the progress of the world technology that may happen in the future but we cannot say when it will be. National currencies are very much strong and consistently used by most of us and it is regulated by the government of each country. Let us wait and see if the crypto currency will overpower the use of the fiat.

it seems that the national currency for now is still very familiar and still very used to humans in this world because I see people in this world still not too know with bitcoin so maybe bitcoin only become an alternative payment.
Moreover, the national currency is fully controlled by the government. As strong as any bitcoin, it can not replace the position of the national currency, it is a manifestation of the sovereignty of a country in the field of finance.

why not ? if cryptocurrency usage already all around the whole world, it could become international currency.
if peoples not use fiat currency anymore, there will be no more volatility because peoples wont compare it with fiat price anymore.

The national currency will never disappear, the whole world is built on cash equivalents and the currency is attached to something. And it's an economic issue also. Crypto currency is just a medium of exchange like our national money.

A little realistic because cryptocurrency will definitely replace the use of fiat currencies in the next several years. At the same time it is a bit hard to imagine that such a state of financial affairs in the world is going to happen in the year 2023. As far as my opinion is concerned, it is a little too early for crypto to finally take the place of fiat in the daily transaction of everyone. The traditional system is hard to end.

now bitcoin has changed as a place of investment. not as currency. while the national currency is regulated, governed by the government. so keep it stable and use in this country. national currencies and crypto currencies are very different, bitcoin will not replace the national currency

Many people all over the world do not use internet. To replace the national currency or local currency by crypto currency Internet use is must. Beside this many people are not even introduced with BTC or crypto.

Cryptocurrency is still new, but although it is still a baby, it is very popular today and everyone are start to knowing it and started to using it in their daily lives. Cryptos and fiat money have different uses so we cant compare them to each other, but for me I prefer cryptos and I am believing to it.

Cryptocurrency and National Currency are very different from each other and the comparison between them is not always accurate. Crypto is based on the internet and can be accessed thru smartphones and computers. Both of them needs to be earned by doing something in return.

With the advent of digital cryptocurrencies, many of the advantages that paper money does not have are evident.

None of these digitally encrypted COINS have a central issuer, and anyone could be involved in making them and circulate them around the world. This is a problem that needs to be solved by the government!

I still doubt that cryptocurrencies will ever replace fiat money in the next few years because it is still, until this day, presents a very volatile behaviour. Until it becomes stable or we have a huge amount of a certain cryptocurrency, then we shall finally have the first physically used cryptocurrency.
