If I had a backup of my roaming folder, would that have everything I needed if my hard drive failed? Or are there other files that I need ?

wallet.dat is all you need to backup really

I was trying to find an easy way to backup ALL of my wallets at once, so that should do it shouldn't it?  that is where the wallet.dat files are stored?

You can backup the whole dir, but all you need is the wallet.dat, as yorich said, the rest can be reconstructed when you start the client.

so i make a habit of encrypting my wallets, except now i get a message saying Minting is stopped because the wallet is encrypted.  I don't see an unencrypt option in the menu, is there a way to unlock the wallet without creating a new wallet, then sending my coins to that new address?

Go into Help, Debug Window, Console and type

walletpassphrase xxxxxxxxxxxx 9999999999 true

the xxxxxxxxxxx is your passphrase that you used when you encrypted it

This will unlock it for minting and then it will automatically lock again when you close the wallet

sweet send your address i'll send oyu some grain

Oh mama!

My rigs PSU just created this beautifull bright light and let out some blue smoke. Nice fireworks  Shocked

Tough luck!  I am told that once the smoke comes out, it doesn't work anymore.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a Radeon 5850 running in a rig, when it suddenly started making a loud rattling noise - luckily I was nearby and shut it down to find that the fan had gone a little wonky, spinning unbalanced.  It would have been a matter of time before it started heating up and caused more permanent damage to the card.  Replaced the heatsink and fan with an Accelero Twin Turbo II from Arctic - now runs at 61 degrees instead of 80 degrees Celsius.

Get yourself a good power supply, a gold or platinum one (85+).

Just believe:

Did I just hit a superblock?

If I did it was a small one, but still; sweet.  Grin

thats a 5%er nice going.

It's nice to know even with my modest 275khash/sec I can still get decent payouts from this coin.

I actually found it in less than an hour. I hadn't been mining all day because I wanted to give my PC a bit of a rest from CPU/GPU mining for several days straight. It's just a matter of luck.  Smiley
