Im mining this coin in solo but im having many stales... one of my clients has 7 accepted, 6 stales, other one 2 accepted, 8 stales... im new in solo mining and im a little confused with this,

In the 7-6 machine i have mined blocks but in the 2-8 one not a single block sucesfully mined in 12 hours (330kh)

i have tried to lower intensity and have added -s 1 in extra arguments (cgminer). Im not sure about the argument, can you give me any ideas?

sorry for my poor english and thanks,

Why don't you join a pool? I think you'll get better results...

Yeah, i will, if i dont fix this. I was in one before, but i want to learn about solo mining, and also i like the different block rewards this coin gives.. and that becomes invisible in pool mining.

Solomining is very hard at current difficulty, you would need a powerful rig.

Is it me or the download links for the new client are broken? I can't get the new client.

Since I haven't been able to update, can anyone tell me if the new update fixes any of the annoyances like being unable to mine while the wallet is locked or disappearing orphan blocks? I'd like to know when I get orphaned blocks, too.

Besides yellow, gold and purple the mined icons, are there any others?

To download the new wallet using the updated links on page 1, you need to copy and paste the whole link in your browser, not just click on it.
Can someone please fix it.

That goes for the links on http://graincoin.webs.com/downloads also - using IE11.
Thanks Steam20, I fixed the links in OP.

Need to make a logo background invisible.
Background is invisible... except for splash one, which the background will either be displayed black or white.

Remember you need to copy the link, not clicking it....

Fixed the links in the OP, you can click directly now. Smiley

Oh how I love super blocks Smiley

On a more serious note, It may be worth us considering using some of the 1% pre-mined to promote the coin. There's a number of things we could be doing, namely getting a professional site + proper domain set up (I'd be happy doing the work for GRA), setting up a chinese site / forums and getting the word out there on blog posts etc.

There's a lot of guys out there that'd likely help us promote the coin in return for some GRA which could be taken from the pre-mined - with a view to getting us on an exchange asap so we can get trading properly rather than using forums + escrow.

There's obviously a growing community behind the coin and the net hash rate is one of the highest out there on the scrypt side of things, there's no reason it shouldn't make it to a real exchange. There's also a fairly wide distribution of coins - which is one of the key factors of a coin being successful.

If anyone's looking to help the coin make a quick win and get on cryptsy there's a few key ways:

1) Click like here and leave a comment: https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/44936
2) Spread the word on forums + blogs - get grain coins name out there
3) Drop cryptsy a support request and ask them to add the coin (support tab on left hand side of the site).

Premine 1% was stated from the very beginning. This is to support dev, giveaways, bounties etc. And this compares to many other coins which have 5% or 20% premines. You can choose a non-premine coin to mine, the problem is, these coins often have no supports from dev.

Premine 1% was made public from the very beginning, nothing is wrong with it, you choose whatever coins you want to mine and support.

Except that this is bullshit, as are pretty much all copy-cat coin premines. "1%" premines are far more than 1% when you consider that fact that the vast majority of those 50 billion coins will be made years down the road when nobody cares any more. The giveaways and bounties total barely more than 11 million right now. That means that you're holding on to the other 489,000,000 coins.

To put that into perspective roughly 600,000,000 coins will be mined in the first six months. That's long after the point when this coin will either be on an exchange and be getting pump & dumped like the other 100 identical scrypt coins, or will have failed and everyone will have moved on. At that point your "1%" premine will represent nearly HALF of all the coins in circulation. Even a year down the road it will still be well over a third of all coins. People aren't as stupid as you think, please don't pretend like you need the majority of all the coins we're likely to see for "the good of all the coinholders" or some other such garbage.

Thank you Galimore!

bosian, just because you say "nothing is wrong with it" does not mean nothing is wrong with it.

Bounties, giveaways, whatever... You've outlined these rewards and they total to to less than 0.25% of the premine. People with real talent will support projects/coins with unique features and real innovation. You don't have to bribe them with bounties.

You need a bounty for a website? If you're serious about launching a currency, wouldn't you have a website before release? (Unless you didn't want people to hear about it until after you're done instamining.)

Support the dev? You copied someone else's work. How much of that premine is going to the real developers? What about the first few hundred blocks you mined before releasing? That's not enough?

You can have your 10k GRA giveaway back. I'll send it back to your address...the one with 500mil in it.

And yes, we can choose what coins to support and what scam coins to make people/exchanges aware of. I choose to warn people before they waste their time on a scam coin intended to make the developer rich.
