Question for you guys.
I currently mine on nut2pool, @ 5.3Mh/s. nut2pool is a Prop pool. I get ~2k/hour, or thereabouts. I heard someone mention that netcodepool is a much better reward, as it's a PPLNS pool, but it has a lower hash rate than nut2pool (1.4Gh vs 4Gh/s) Is it better to swap to netcodepool and their slightly higher mining fee/pplns system, vs nut2pool's PROP payment system?
Looking to get the most reward for my electricity.
Hi yorich, I am looking into using a proportional pool as failover, since a PPLNS pool will pay only peanuts for occasional contributions. Still, I am a little lost how large the size of shares is that PPLNS is averaging over, since my meager 210kH should yield about 1800 Doge/day according to calculations and I usually have seen less than that. Also be aware that there seems to be a bug in the pool software on several pools that promise you double the amount of Doge than you are actually getting. Both the Pool prediction based on the hash rate and the expected earnings per round are double what you actually are getting (for example they promise I get 88 Doge based on the shares I have submitted, but when the block is found I get on average 44 Doge when the reward was indeed 500k, so it seems that the pools are accidentally calculating with the *max* Doge per round instead of the average. I think that you will get the same rewards at PPLNS pools, once you are through the period of ramping up the shares. Thanks for the reply. I did a 24 hour investigation, and it seems your thought is correct. the PPLNS pool seemed to deliver roughly the same payout, but it was varied, due to the LNS changing. the PROP pool seems to pay more consistently. If i had to wager a difference, I'd say it's on order of maybe 100 doge or so, but it's hard to tell since hash rates change all the time, the 24 hour profitability for both was ~ 0.07 btc @ current exchange rates, so i just went back to the PROP pool for now.

I don't like how trade volume continues to inch towards 999 btc trade volume. I think a short term dip could be on the horizon but it would be short lived. I'm going into btc temporarily in case it goes down, then I can increase my holdings of doge

Cryptsy had some big wallet issues today, i know my balance was affected for hours and then deposits were a couple hours after that. Not sure if that's it, but i would imagine it contributed.

Dogecoin trade volume down to 1113 btc. What is going on 40% top 100 richest own 16 Billion. You just need one of the top 100 richest quit and form his own cryptsy conversion to BTC you will see DOGE fall to less than 100 satoshi values. The buying depth on cryptsy is only about 200~300 million average and WOLONG 1.8 % capital is enough is crush the price to less than 100 satoshi. The only way to stabalise crypto is ASIC miners is like BTC with 20nm technologies with lowest cost USB form factors of miners.

That is the current technology known limit unless someone can create a better computing devices which is almost impossible or else we will see INTEL AMD gone into bankruptsy. The current cost of mining with GPU is too expensive as compared to ASIC and big miners with capital can easily gallop up the whole network and move prices. Hashrate and address used to indicate wide acceptance but eventually techonologies will make these 2 data unrealistic anymore as addresses and hashrate can multiply easily. Crypto stability relies on wide distributions and mining process is the current concept of creating digits. Distributed banking become centralized farming will make the concept of decentralized transaction failed again.

There is no such thing as cost of gpu mining higher than the cost of asic mining. You sound like comparing a train and a ship. It depends what you mine with them and what is the reward. Correlation about the scrypt used and price , still waiting for your reasons Also you're assuming something that has already being proven wrong. sha256 mining can be monopolized not scrypt.

Doge is getting pretty serious now, and some people missed the train or selled too early. Please don't respond to people trying to troll the coin down to try get their hands off cheap coins The community behind doge is amazing, and so is the dev team I'd be amazed if we didn't see doge trading at 1000 satoshis after 2 or 3 block reward halves. It keep growings in popularity so why not Its like the internets are leaking more and more every day, /r/dogecoin almost has 50,000 shibes
