The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

There are now 792 pages? Holy....

Anyway, take a look at and vote for your first coin, whether it is Dogecoin or not:

Don't worry too much.
The impact of scrypt ASIC will be much much less on DOGE, than the SHA-256 ASIC had on Bitcoin.
GPU's will still be a good choice to mine scrypt. The only real advantage of the scrypt ASIC with current chip technology available will be power reduction.
For many scrypt miners is electricity less than ~5% of the revenue.

Cryptography is one of the few things you can truly trust.

scrypt asics only help with power reduction, not overall performance than what a gpu card/rig can do.. Prices nearly match for that amount of kh's anyway. So overall if you want scrypt asics all its benefiting is power reduction.

Is it just me, or fast-pool is not paying much?

The coinwarz calculator says I should get 3500 in 24h, and I only got 3000 in 26h.. and I'm making the calculations with 550Mh\s while I have 600\650

Any opinions on this or should I get much pool alternatives?

what about space savings, and cooling savings too?? even hardware saving if you just keep adding hubs and usb sticks, vs. motherboards, psus, cpus memory and expensive GPUs..

just be careful, some pool ran off with my bros. dogecoins....

fast-pool seems ok and the hashrate/difficulty for DOGECOIN is climbing....while litecoin's is going down....

I'll be really surprised if we see more than a few functional scrypt asics in the wild this year. Most of them are scams, like http://kumquatminer.webs.com

Buddy, you're mining a coin with a shibaken logo and the strength of its community comes from friendly members with a sense of humor and who create graphics and memes in an effort to support that community. If you're looking for a boring, poker-faced community, go work on Wall Street, that's probably more your crowd... keep solo mining in your corner.
When people stop posting graphics and having fun because of guys like you, you'll be sitting on a pile of worthless coins.
About Pink Floyd, it's a nod to a band I like and if they sue me, it would be an honor.

I am not your buddy, for one.

Just how many coins show these stupid graphics?
Only one that know of, this one.

so I am guessing you think all of the others are just full of shit coins, huh?

and that stupid broken english isn't really stupid either.

Your "nod" to a band is copyright infringement, and most likey trademark infringement, also.

The calculator is based off of a fixed difficulty. If the difficulty varies as you are mining, that calculator can not be accurate.
