There is subject that I want to rant about.

STOP making memcoins. Just because dogecoin was successful doesn't mean you should start making memocoins and hopefully it will become successful. It will never happen.

Coinye
nayecoin
grumpycoin

and many more. I'm mean seriously, just stahp! You're just wasting your time and energy trying to copy dogecoin success.

Dogecoin is the only memecoin that is perfectly executed. It will stay here for long time.
+1
+1 YES. They steal MUCH SHIBE

+1, its sad because they made coins to be a competition with DOGE, not to grow on its on, catcoin was the worst, failed miserably beside being a wallet stealer trojan, DOGE community is unparalleled.

+1  We need to stop focusing on these zero day GET RICH QUICK mining strategies. It's time to get behind a long term strategy that will take us to the moon.  Like Bitcoin, Dogecoin appears to be a very good option.  The more people who get involved the faster our moon arrival date.  Cheesy

When did CatCoins wallet ever have a trojan lol. Pretty sure that never happend

unable to sync my wallet. I've got v1.4 and  I've redownloaded the blockchain.  Getting the message "Warning, displayed transactions may not be correct, You may need to upgrade or other nodes may need to upgrade". Is there a solution for this?

I'm having the same problem.  I have several days worth of DOGE mining from my husband's video card (mine is mining RPC atm) just waiting to be downloaded.  I know that they're there, but I still would like to see them :-).

I advise anyone out there to hold on to your DOGE and not dump.  Use them for buying and supporting the community.  If anyone tells you to sell, just ignore them.  Look at Zetacoin for example.  ZET was at 0.00000076 on November 22 2013 on Cryptsy. The price started climbing and hit 0.00008780 on December 11, 2013.  It has settled down a bit since then but much better in price than 0.00000076.  ZET did this without much help.  At least DOGE has a growing community and some good people behind it. Much wow.  So if you have 'em, hold 'em and wait it out.

Comparing to other coins with different parameters is a bit silly, dont you think? Dont be a silly shibe. Be a smart shibe!
DOGE will definately rise. But it is highly likely that DOGE will hit new low  before it rises.

A question for you guys: How do you choose your pool?

I'm a miner from Romania (Eastern Europe) with 3.2kh/s power, good internet connection. My system is tuned for what I need, a little underclock by powertune -10, 0% HW errors.
-on multipool.us european server I get a lot of rejects (7-10%)
-on dogeouse the same (7-8%)
-on fast-pool I the damn Vardiff sets my diff to 2879 and I rarely get any shares
-on dogepool.pw the rejects are lower but also the income is pretty low
-on suchcoins I get the lower reject rate (max 0.7%) but it almost always show a lower hashrate than my rig (payment are a bit mangled so to speak?), pool efficiency is not that great either

So: Why some pools are having greater reject rates? Why some pools are paying you less? How to choose a good pool?
I'm looking at 12-24hr average income, so that PPLNS has time to settle. I know that over a long period of time result should be the same but unfortunately we don't have such an eternity to mine.

By the way do you think that donating improves statistics? I mean maybe donating users get some favours from the system (better rates), trust me in my country you can not get anything done without some form of a bribe…

PS. Please consider the technical problem only as I DO NOT WANT to start some sort of ethical flame war arround here.

Im also from Romania and im mining on dogehouse.org . On my 4x 7970 i get 1,5 -2% rejects , however you could get up to 3,5 % which is not bad at all i may say.  I can assure you that with an R9 290 you can get 3-3,5% rejects at 820-825khahs

Weird is that on other currencies' pools (icoin, bbq coin) I get 0% rejects.
So it seems that the rejects are related to the pool used, not the rig.
HW are always 0%.

Couldn't agree with you more.  Everyone is focused on mining and exchanges. There are many businesses that accept various coins for payment, but the real test is when the individual will accept crypto for payment for items they want to sell. Not one or two people, but enmasse, a collective show of strength is possible. Check my sigi.  Fully functional and over 35 coins supported through a 3rd party crypto payment gateway.

You want the moon not only for Doge but the crypto world, follow the link in my sig and start selling, spread the word, and help crypto-commerce be something for everyone.  Only about a .00015 BTC equivalent or $0.10 USD end of item fee regardless of sale price.
