I filled out a coin request form for poloniex to get it added to the exchange. Hopefully everyone is doing this Spacerman, thank you very much for taking the time to show your support! I think this coin has some extraordinary potential and am very confused as to why nobody is touching it (with my only answer being the concern of an extremely skewed distribution). Nonetheless, when Microsoft partners with you, you must be doing something right. One thing though, Jason, and maybe it's just a bitcointalk thing, is it feels slightly scammy when the CCO comes on bitcointalk and alludes to how cheap their coin is (or giving very obviously biased trading advice on this site). I'm not attacking your character or intentions, but from my experience with coins whose developers have such an interest in price, they tend to be coins investors/traders should stay away from. Obviously this coin isn't a scam if Microsoft has found the technology worthwhile, but since this is an open opinion forum I simply thought I would express my thoughts on that--especially when the Emercoin team hasn't seemed to take an interest in price up to this point.

> Any idea why when I turn PoS minting on, my wallet goes out of sync after a little while? > I'm running 0.3.7, it will show that the current correct number of blocks was downloaded, > but behave as if I'm about 16k blocks behind, showing a total block number that hasn't even been reached yet. > It does not do this is PoS minting is not activated. Another customer already reported about this strange issue. We reviewed the code, but did not found any problem source. We asked him to provide copy of glitched blockchain, but he answered: "I rebooted computed, and problem is gone", and did not provide blockchain. He has Windows OS, wallet 0.3.7. Currently we assume, there is some glitch over network, when some orphan block considered as "high level". But, we unable to get more details. What we recommend: 1. run repairwallet command in the your wallet. 2. reboot machine. 3. If problem still persist - please create archive, contains blockchain copy (without wallet.dat), and deposit to any file exchange service. Thereafter, notify team@emercoin.com. We'll get archive, and try investigate the issue. FYI: Having exact same problem with 0.3.7 Repair does not seem to correct it. When I have some time, I'll get the files to you...

solo mining better now that I figured out the correct info that is not on emercoin.com
server=1 daemon=1 listen=1 rpcuser=emercoinrpc rpcpassword=run emercoind once and copy/paste password here rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=8344 port6661 reservebalance=0
Is there something that should be improved or updated at at http://emercoin.com/MINING_GUIDE ? It's been a long time since I did any mining, and I used google to translate from the original guide. May be good if someone can suggest improvements for this document.

I appreciate the feedback Spacerman. Given the litany of thefts and bad actors that have plagued the forums past (and does to this day), much of the community has adopted a very skeptical eye. You will notice in the Speculation and Discussion thread that was started I made a point to give full disclosure on my position in the company. It goes without saying that a certain level of bias exists when one aligns themselves with a project for fundamental reasons. With that said, I feel the market has validated that sentiment that the currency is under-appreciated from both an investment and more importantly a utility perspective. Both of these facets have seen improvements recently due to the underlying factors which we are all happy to see here at Emercoin. The price of the currency itself is less important as the real value will come as our services become adopted in scale, as you eluded to above. Everyone has to make an individual choice to adopt or invest into the technology and we acknowledge that by generally focusing on the development of the blockchain itself. We are now entering a period where some of this focus is shifting and that will be reflected through increased promotion on several fronts. Also, from an exchange perspective it does not hurt to see a certain level of hype built around a coin before agreeing to adopt it. This is not our preferred way of accomplishing things however it remains a reality that sometimes the squeaky wheel does get the oil. Thank you again for your support on all fronts including the candid feedback Spacerman!

That's a beautiful interface. Reminds me of NXT interface But I hope the devs don't do that, because I think it's safer to keep it based on Bitcoin-QT interface, and develop new features instead. Someone probably could design an interface like that which worked with all bitcoin compatible coins, and talked to the emercoind/bitcoind daemon via the RPC through the web browser and local http server.

Yeah I think namjar is talking about the style of it? which is very nice. I think to add a style like that, it would be cool - but shouldn't be done in the core client. Reminded me of Ringo coin I think it tried to follow a similar design, with the buttons down the side (almost a tomato except it's a red apple https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622288.0 )

I believe that we need the most simple client with two buttons "pay the money" and "get money", and a small button - more. But for all that need a Qt- interface programmer.

IMPORTANT - FORK!
There is fork happening in the EmerCoin network after block 136404. Some clients do not receive correct block 136405, and continue staking.
Please, check your client. Run from console:
getcheckpoint
If it prints: { "synccheckpoint" : "0000000000000006d2010d4a879378a448c4a12e156127d7a7753b93fccb676d", "height" : 136404, "timestamp" : "2015-11-29 17:17:16 UTC" }
then your client has been affected by fork.
To resolve this issue, needed re-download blockchain again. To do this: 1. stop emercoin program 2. Backup your wallet.dat (not necessary, but this is more safe) 3. Delete all files, but wallet.dat and emercoin.conf in the directory windows: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\EmerCoin linix: ./emercoin 4. Restart emercoin program. Wait for ~30 minutes to reload blockchain.
We're working for investigate this issue, and will release patch soon.
Thanks you for patience.

WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for blockchain to download, or notify developer of the issue.
