One question regarding the 6% staking reward every year. Do I need to run the Emercoin client 24 hours a day or do I receive this if I just log in every 2 weeks or so? Many thanks!
You can get results by running the client every 30 days, and waiting until all your coins stake (may take a few days). But after a few months of doing this, the coin maturity begin to spread out and you need to leave the client on for longer and longer, until it makes more sense that you just run it 24/7. That's because staking can split the coins, meaning that next month you'll need to stake twice the number of times. So you could set a reminder to unlock the wallet for 1 week of every month.. that should work ok for a while. But by running full-time node you assure yourself that it will stake at every opportunity. After all, part of the intention of PoS is to incentivize people to run full nodes and support the network. This is what I've found anyway.

Hi there, I have wallet running all the time and coins that are older than 35 days but staking doesn't seem to work. Wallet is unlocked and I see "unlocked for block minting" text in the tooltip. What am I missing? Thanks.

I'm thinking it is working, you just aren't lucky enough to get a block yet. Have a LOT of coins helps too.

Even if you received the coins over 30 days ago, spending any of them may re-start the 30 days, depending on the inputs that make up the transaction. So make sure you consider that possibility. Otherwise, it may well be just be a mater of luck, craslovell says.

Does anyone know why Poloniex is ignoring this coin? #13 by market cap and respectable volume given that it's not on Poloniex. At this point it appears they have something against the coin.

My request as well. Guess to low volume and to less requests. Keep on requesting, make some PR and wait for good news on emercoin. Will buy when back under 4700 Sat. Long term invest. Once the bomb explodes it has been worth the time.
