Good news!

Russian blockchain startup HashCoins is developing a service for certification of vehicle titles based on EmerCoin blockchain, which seeks to make the work of relevant state offices more efficient. The new solution may also prove useful to manufacturers of various motor vehicles, including cars, trucks, tractors, motor bikes, and light airplanes, all of which demand some sort of certification.

We are coming up on Emercoin's 3rd birthday. It's incredible to look back and see just how far this blockchain has come. Good news and new developments continue to roll in. The technology and team grows stronger, but we could still use more community input and discussion!

Let us know what you like about Emercoin.

Let us know what you think of the technologies the chain has to offer.

Let us know what you feel could be improved.

PM me now with your email address for an invite to the official Emercoin Slack Channel!

Windows-qt wallet telling Pepe that he needs to update.

Does he need to, or is this a bug?

You realy should bring EMC to Poloniex to get more attention. This is the marketplace you have to be these days to get mentioned, attracting more people and get more input.
Keep going ;-)

Hi, please advise on what has to be done. I'm using the linux version 0.5.1 and the client tells me: "This version is obsolete, upgrade required!".

Hi, everyone.
Have some problem with EMC and uNOMP.
First time daemon (use source from github) just terminate when pool try submit block.
After reinstall uNOMP and EMC (use link from emercoin.com) all block is rejected.

guys, question to PoS mining:
do I understand it correctly, if I have EMCs in one output and it founds a block, then actually EMC wallet can go offline for one months - "dead" period for mining?

Yes, you won't be able to find a PoS block with only TX-outputs younger than 30 days .

Been always wondering what makes EMC so much unpopular that merchants, exchanges and market forces prefer to repudiate it. It has never been trading on any major exchanges despite  having been around for 3 years. There hasn't been much interest towards EMC since july, and ever since the pumping stopped, market cap has been effectively dried out. A large percentage of weekly turnover seems to be associated with btc38, not to mention july liftoff that has been funded by chinese money. Seems like chinese turned EMC into a patented white label that nobody wants to touch.

Emercoin 0.5.2 Release available!

What's new:

1) Merged with bitcoin 0.10.4. This allows to create transactions that cannot be spent until certain time/height.
2) QT and CLI now has unicode support by default (Univalue lib). This will display Unicode symbols in name value, but please note: do not use it for binary data.
3) RPC can also enable unicode, but you need to specify "-legacyrpc=0" in your emercoin.conf.
4) Name commands now have parameter for binary input/output as a hex or base64 encoded strings.
5) Some minor bugfixes (emercoin-cli could crash client during client startup).
6) More info about wallet lock state in getinfo ("encrypted": true, "mintonly": true)
7) Added ENUM support (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/ENUM)
