OK, so it won't be shooting out orphans anymore, but now instead of doing that, it generates invalid 50K blocks.  Anyone have any clue on how to fix this in p2pool?

i am just testing some stuff, re: pool not officially open, trying to figure out wtf the deal is

it always occurs after a new block, if you look thru share explorer you'll see a few more & always when it has a new block listed

Nxt is a case for itself and thus not quite comparable to Frozen. Doge is hyped like hell, creating a completly unrealistic bubble that will burst sooner or later, for now it's the biggest pumping that I have ever seen.

Most altcoins need some time to establish themself, Frozen isn't even out for two weeks now and is still quite unknown, on the upside there hasn't been flaming rage against it yet, so we might see it established, given enough time.

DOGE got listed for a very good reason, it's a cash-cow for the exchanges.  It had more than 4x the trade volume  of LTC (in total BTC), which means Cryptsy is making plenty of money off fees... and it's probably the reason they are getting trade lag, the DB servers are getting slammed.  It's a silly coin, but it's making a lot of people easy money.  Frozen will get its chance, and hopefully will climb up the ladder quickly.
