Whales, bots, government and fud spreaders are  manipulating the market. Whales want to sell high and buy back at lower price.  Fud spreaders are those people who are against Bitcoin.

Whales most especially are always the ones using the other methods to manipulate the market. One way they create FUD or FOMO in the market, and since they are always going to be at advantage due to their position, then it makes it so easy for them to do their thing.

I believe a lot of things will change over time, and possibly we may get to see how things eventually end up turning out, but for now, I guess we will have to just keep accepting what we have and living with it, but whales really manipulate the market a lot and sometimes, I always feel they do not even use sense in doing so, since all they are after anyway is to make huge gains and they bother less about the growth of the space.

I'm pretty sure the reason a whale will actually manipulate a market is of course for money. Buy a boat load of coins when the market is low and sell it when the market is high anf do it all over again. It's actually a good strategy. Another reason maybe is to discredit the market entirely and discourage the small investors to go forward.

I too have the same thought, because right now there is no big levels of FUD or negative news around the globe related to cryptocurrency. Whales were the one who has got the ability to manipulate and at present they were the sole reason for the ongoing price decrease to such extent downwards.

I think yes, whales have important role for this price downfall and of course of its rising. Whales can do whatever they want, wherever they want to direct the flows of crypto price specially if they are united to do things accurately and timely.

Undoubtedly, whales are present on the market, especially on such a market that is as illiquid as bitcoins. Their presence can be seen on the charts of exchanges and in orders.
I hope that the kines will not push the price to 3,000, otherwise it will be very hard for many.

Yes, I do think that whales manipulate the market. I had been holding the opposite opinion for a long time but finally I came to conclusion that regular people with from $200 to $2,000 worth of Bitcoin in their possession can't be the ones whose actions (either selling or buying) affect the market. Indeed it's whales making money on fluctuations  plus collecting additional crypto when it's cheap in order to become even more whaley. Also I think that so called "panic selling" doesn't contribute to the price dropping because the amount of BTC they, taken together, can sell is insignificant compared to that of just couple of whales.

I realized all of that after analyzing what was happening to BTC in 2013. If Bitcoin existence was really dependant from those panic sellers, Bitcoin would die already.

Yes , but not everytime because they are not those types of the person who are always ready to do do such works where people getting out forever , but they create some fear to make Thier own profit in small amounts .
Here beside of the manipulation by the whales in this , there are another factors that are big reason of the dump of the price of the bitcoin .A big reason Is that many people without using Thier own money , they create a type of fake news and spread over the whole market and that Results into dump of the coins much .
So here we can't consider only single factor for the increment of dump in the market of bitcoin and another cryptourrency .
And also in these days I am seeing that lots of negative news are spreading by the news media , even a single step by the government of any particular country becomes a news for the news media and they will say that Soon the government will ban bitcoin , really a shit media .

Everyone has their own theories and their proofs but having such an influence on such a big market is not at all possible for a few people as this requires a huge amount of money for dumping and pumping the market which can only be done by a large group of people but the people are greedy when it comes to money so to control such a large group it will be pretty difficult and also trust is also a major factor in play here.

I have always thought and opinionated that there are external forces that dictates the market trends and much more to favour themselves. Definitely, there are Whalers who majorly have a significant role in the bitcoin dip and pump which is part of the external factors affecting the bitcoin present price value.

yes it is possible, and as such it is a common trick that big whales do to control the market and make a profit. but that may be because more and more of the altcoins are appearing in the marketplace so that holders spread their investments in each altcoin.

Whales cannot manipulate the market because they might destroy their own coin if they will sell a huge amount of the coins they are holding but it will only happen if the ico is a scam or they are just planning to milk the investors.

A huge selling can kill a relatively unknown coin, but not Bitcoin with its over 5 billion USD current daily trading volume. Too much people trust BTC already to let it die so easily. Whenever price goes down big time, there are a lot of buyers appear and the price start rising again. Of course it's easier for the whales to buy coins when it looks like "the end is nigh" because they know for sure that there will be no end. Regular people continue panic selling and end up partially losing their investments, always regretting not holding some time later.

Basically when you panic sell during a bloodbath, you sell your coins to the whales, who are more than happy to collect more of them at cheap price.

In any financial markets the markets will not remain constant and the prices keeps on fluctuating but in crypto currency market there is volatility and so no one will be able to predict the crypto currency market as there is a huge leap in the market when there is a hike in the market and due to hacking attacks the markets plunge like if we compare to last  year's price, the price of bitcoins has hit the highest level of $ 19300 USD and now the current price of bitcoins is around $ 6000 USD which shows a massive change in the price variations. Hackers are one of the reasons for manipulating the price difference.
