Great work guys - Diamond is such a great coin and it is good to see such a good team behind it!

If anyone could donate to help cover the costs associated with the Diamond Block Explorer (http:://diamondblocks.info) that would help alot! These things don't pay for themselves so if you use it please throw some coin!

BTC: 1trip99Hd2cCfWftbPzdbcmBD35KeKyKw DMD:dXHDYczgN3VuM9kdrnAFEC6iscoCtvqzRF

Also if anyone has a website, blog, mining pool, etc, i would really appreciate if you could link to us from your site to help google get us indexed.  Especially dmdpool.net and minarcc - if you guys could make an announcement in our news section announcing the block explorer I would really appreciate it!

Also wanted to let you all know the site also is a block explorer for PHS - http://phsblocks.com.  You can see both chains and their latest block at http://diamondblocks.info/chains

How would one connect servers without a GUI (i.e. No qt app - They're just plain old CLI linux servers) mine solo?  Is it possible to point cpuminer or a similar mining application directly?

Thanks ahead of time Smiley

DMD sounds more like Doomedcoin ,and that wall of text is written by somebody who hasn't payed too much attention to the English class.
He sounds like the usual 20cents/hour Pakistani worker from Scriptlance.

lmao, I am a freelance writer and I know exactly what you mean, but it's mostly Indians I come across.

Great idea! A faucet/giveaway is exactly what is needed now, after the great work with the client, block explorer, etc.

The two pool operators can use part of their Donation proceeds to finance this.

To the operators: if you guarantee to use part of your Donation money (say 50%) to finance such a faucet or giveaway, I promise I'll double my donation % to whoever does it first  Wink

Solo mining for 3.5 hours at 1000khash and no Diamonds yet.  Does that seem right?  Various hash calculators I've tried suggest 1 DMD roughly every 40 minutes at that hash based on current difficulty of roughly 1....Any thoughts?  I was pool mining and got 2.2 DMD in about 4 hours but figured I'd have a crack at solo due to the low difficulty.

Hello all,

DMDpool.net is online again.
DMDpool.net will share some extra coins as reward for mining DMD. Smiley We remind you that DMDpool shares the rewards of bonus blocks.

It s important to open a new (3rd) pool for DMD mining. So if anyone is interested in, feel free to found it.

You can mine using Linux, compiling the source code you can download here: https://github.com/DMDcoin/diamondcoin

Hodger, it's maybe bad luck. Any rejected block?

If you ask me, the network speed is already too high to solo mine.
I solo mined with 2.3 Mh/s when the network speed was around 40 Mh/s having a diff of 0.3-0.5
That way i was lucky and got 5 diamonds an hour.

Later i tried it again with 60 Mh/s network speed and a diff of 1.0 or so and i only found 1 during 1 1/2 hour.

Just switch to a pool Wink

Nope no rejects.  After 2 hours I was thinking bad luck, but I'm pretty much on 4 hours of solo 2 machines 500khash each and no blocks....Very odd.  Have switched back to pool for a bit as that was working fine before (not that I usually have issues solo'ing other low diff coins.

Thanks for the comment.

Oh FFS, forgot to unlock wallet...Tha's probably why I got nothing while solo'ing right?  Any ideas whether the client will "catchup" now I've unlocked, are is my mining during those 4 hours solo wasted?

The coin has two new experienced developers and got relisted on Cryptsy and Coinwarz.
Also a new website and the network hash + difficulty is rising alot.
