so i've had some whiskey actually on the bottle it's spelled whisky
You must be drinking proper Scottish whisky then. Only Scottish whisky is spelt without the 'e' - well that should be the case anyway. It's a bit like Champaign should only come from France.

ROFL!!

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable. Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

Great idea. I submitted this description to the editors The act of holding on to a financial trade, often a "crypto-currency", while it plummets it value. Hodling a trade indicates that an unusually high amount of personal resolve is required from the trader, due to the possibility of massive financial losses. Such resolve may be found in the form of whiskey or other strong alcohols, hence the mis-spelling.
"My bitcoins lost 45% of their value in this crash, but I'm hodling"
"Everybody just needs to hodl, we can get through this"

Haha, isn't panic hodling an oxymoron? Hodling is a passive activity.
