If I have 10 BTCs I will probably invest in business or invest in a house. But with the current BTC I can only do Bounty and hope someone will give me a Merit to join the signature campaign. When I have 1 BTC I will give you 0.1 BTC

No need to give money to the forum as theymos said that he have way enough funds. Before focusing on the campaigns, better learn something about the cryptocurrencies so when you join a sig. campaign you have something to contribute, otherwise you gonna be one of the many shitposters which get banned everyday.

No offense Theymos but I think VIP is way to expensive. Please lower VIP to 10 BTC which is already close to $100 with fees. 50btc is ridiculous.

The difference bewteen 2011 and 2020 BTC value is amazing In the 50 BTC donator list I noticed "MemoryDealers" so that means Roger Ver also donated to the forum before he decided to take a different path: https://bitcointalk.org/donate.htmlNo offense Theymos but I think VIP is way to expensive. For 2020 I believe 10-50 BTC is a very large amount for a donator. I think the amount is very feasible to reduce because the price difference is very large between 2011-2020. BTC is moving forward and I think this figure will be too big. I'm not suggesting admins to lower the amount of bitcoins that have been set for anyone who wants to become a donator, this is my pure assumption.

I believe a good compromise would be to add an additional donation tier so to not be unfair to those who donated in early days to get their status. Donation amount to get into that tier could then be set according to today's prices.

And it was worth only $20 a couple of months later. I have my doubts that anyone will become a donator in the future. Last person to become a Donator was Claymore in April 2017. He paid ~$13.5k at $1350 average price per bitcoin during that month. The lower donation tier now costs as much as a new Lamborghini.

The lower donation tier now costs as much as a new Lamborghini. Based on his history, I have my doubts that he paid a 10th of that for the bitcoin he donated. The price was going up so fast around that time, it is possible he didn't even realize the value of what he was sending.

Why do we need a tier at all. Donation "rewards or staus" are usually only needed when there is a need to ensure there is enough capital to keep a project going. So it makes sense in the early days when value was low for people to send 10 or 50 BTC for the custom title and what not, to promote and grow BTC which is what most early users where looking to do. Now there really isn't any need to create custom titles for donating funds, the forum is flush. Custom titles are much more relevant to what the forum needs now, such as reporters, and quality contributors to content and services throughout the forum. I don't see this happening, I'm just showing that time is more valuable to the forum than cash at this point. Og pointed it out, people can donate at anytime in any amount if they truly feel the need. It just doesn't come with a title, which is what most people want. It's really just another part of being fashionably late to the BTC party.

OgNasty seems to be the only active donator,
There are still a few more that actively participate in here while most other donators still lurk around: - Based on their "last active" time [I'll only list those that used this forum in the past month]: - 50 BTC donators [VIP]
- 10 BTC donators [Donator]
- muyuu [Today (somewhat active)]
- Soros Shorts [Today (just lurking)]
- qwk [December 27, 2020 (active)]

theymos mentioned something about it when he first introduced Copper Membership but I do agree with Steamtyme's comment... I wrote the system so that I can easily add additional paid memberships in the future, but I might not ever do so. Not sure.

I still lurk here every now and then! It’s hard to be active though. The forum is such a shell of what it once was. Back in the good old days, I used to learn something new every few posts or so, and I had an interest in reading (if only the title) every single thread on the forum. Some of the drama was even amusing. I decided to change my name and use my custom title though. My donation is approx $1.6 million USD now, might as well as make use of it a little bit

Og pointed it out, people can donate at anytime in any amount if they truly feel the need. It just doesn't come with a title, which is what most people want. It's really just another part of being fashionably late to the BTC party. Money doesn't last forever. It could be used to make further developments to the forum or maybe even for other worthwhile projects the community deems important, but we could even give the money to charity which would be a win-win in my opinion. We already have Copper Member with some very small benefits so why not offer Silver and Gold memberships etc. I think they would be very popular. Sure, some people would want them just for the apparent prestige or name but there are lots of benefits to more donator ranks in my opinion. If they came with benefits like bigger signatures and whatnot it would essentially make farming or hacking accounts worthless. Higher donator ranks could be given the option to change their name which if often requested but is seldom done and a lot of times there's good reasons for it. At least that would cut out the middle man of staff getting involved and most requests go unanswered anyway. It's also very difficult to rise through the ranks with the merit system and I don't think letting users bypass that by buying a Membership is a big deal. You can already essentially do that by buying an account anyway.

The below information is good but if I buy the copper membership then "I can be able to join bounty signature campaigns?" because I did not found a post here that properly mentioned that after how much time our membership/rank is increased like, jr, member, member, full member, etc.

Probably not but that all depends on the specific campaign. Most won't accept a Copper member merely based on that rank as it's the signature size they're interested in which comes with higher ranks. You can check out a list of the campaigns at the following link but I can't see any that offer payments based on Copper Membership so I'd concentrate on achieving rank first: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0;topicseen
