anyone running vega's on cryptonightR

what do you get for a vega 56?

I am doing 4 vega 56 and a thread ripper  1920 cpu and turning a small profit.

Not running Vega 56, but for a Vega 64 I get 2100 h/s with Team red miner. For a 6 card rig I get a little under 1200 W from the wall.

I am 1700-1800 on the Vega 56s. Total of about 7000 and the threadripper is doing 750.

So 7750 and 800 watts.

Pretty good. I am turning about $1.50 profit after power each day.

The nice thing is stopped mining BCI with this rig but I now earn Decent interest on the 8000 BCI coins I have.

No where like the old days. Dec 2017 seems so far away.

for vega's running on linux, you should take a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5123724.msg50367089#msg50367089

Switch to Teamredminer and get over 2000 per Vega56 easily at smaller power draw.
I run mine at 2050 h/s. 12300 total for six, 1200W at the wall.
Teamredminer beats everything else out there on CN. Both in hash and power draw. Hands down.

Thanks, I know the thread, but they don't have a better hash rate / power draw compared to what I have...

No where like the old days. Dec 2017 seems so far away.

I'd settle for Dec 2015, when profitability was "very rough ballpark estimate" around 6 TIMES what it is right now.

Been out of the Antminer game for a while but saw an article that they just released an Antminer S17, is this also an April fools joke?

Last Antminer I've heard of was the Antminer S9 and all of a sudden they skipped it down to S17. Really surprised they are still in the mining game after the failed IPO and the massive losses they suffered last year due to the BCH price crash.

You missed the S15, T15, S13, S11 among others.
S17 will be their second generation on TSMC's 7nm process.

Also, they probably CAUSED the BCH price crash by selling off a big chunk of their stash (AND their other coins) to finance the massive losses they had in 2H 2018.
IMO they're THE cause for the Bitcoin move from around $6000 to under $4000 with that dump.

Wow if ETH and XMR go up slightly more then I would have to dust off my GPU rigs again and power them up. Really hope this rally continues for the next few weeks or so.

I'm considering rebuilding rigs for my R9 290s - ran the numbers yesterday and they'd be profitable - BARELY - at current conditions.

The entire Crypto market crashed back in November 2018. Its hard to say the reason for it. There is speculation it was the BCH and BSV hashrate fight or whether it was too many leveraged traders who didn't think $6000 would break.

The issue with the R9 290, is that they don't hash at 30MH/s anymore with ETH, they got that DAG thrashing bug that the 280X had and they hash now at like 20MH/s while using like 200 Watts, hence it will be a while before they are profitable.

Visit the AMDMemTweak thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5123724.0

I'm running Windows 10.  Vega 56 Reference cards (flashed to Vega 64) most are now getting 2,030-2,050 kh/s with Teamred Miner mining CNVr Monero.

Jump to page 8 and read from there in the thread.  Windows users need to download the .dll file on Github and put in the WinAMDTweak folder.

Create a bat file to run the Help file.

Create a bat file to capture your current card settings.

Create a bat file for your new timings.

My "newtiming" bat file looks like this:

WinAMDTweak.exe -i 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 --cl 20 --rp 11 --rc 45 --rfc 250 --rrd 3 --rcdrd 12 --rcdwr 5
pause

Kind of like eth enlargement pill!

[Edit:] this bumped up my kh/s from 1,930 - 1,980 to @ 2,050 on most cards.  So a modest improvement for a short investment of time so far.
[Edit 2:] dropped --rc to 44 still stable, slight improvement

sad how much we slowed down here.  Still mining with 12 x 1080tis  and 4 vegas.

The vegas do well with monero
the 1080ti's are decent with grin

I mined 8000 BCI staked it and no longer mine it.

that is about 1000 dollars  BCI is at 13 cents  I could do very well if it ever spikes to 1 dollar.

I hodl RVN and BCI

I am cashing out the grin into LTC for now.
I am cashing out the XMR into BTC for now.

All low scale ops nothing like the old days of 12000 usd a month  at best it will be 2000 a year in profits.

Yes the profits are still pretty bad. I was actually going to power up a few rigs but checked the profitability on What-to-mine and even though the price of Bitcoin is higher the profits are lower than the past couple of weeks.

Basically the ETH difficulty is slowly increasing according to,
https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrate

And for some reason ETH is not following the BTC price action and it seems stuck in the $160 area which is the yearly support/resistance.

I think even if we get $200 ETH, the profitability still won't be there. We can only hope and wait for ProgPOW.

Been mining MTP and RVN recently with 2 x1060 rigs. Each rig has 10 GPus and I put one on each coin. A couple weeks ago I had one on GRIN and the other on Aeternity. Making about $3- 3.50 per day with both rigs.

I have a 4x 470  rig mining ETH and making about $0.25 per day. It was a 7 GPU rig but I sold 3 for $300 CDN.

I also have a couple T15s, 3 x Baikal G28s, 1 Baikal x10 and 1 L3+ at Cryptoboreas in Labrador.

After electricity:

T15s : $2.80 to $3.10 each per day. (will take over 2 years to ROI/Break even)
G28s: $2.40 - $ 2.90 each per day.  (will take close to 2 years to ROI/Break even)
X10: $.90 per day. ( nearly paid for itself. So, as long it makes more than electrical cost and keeps running, it's easy coinage...but not a huge profit.)

All said, profits are low but still in the right direction. Not bad for a hobby.

I do well with the BTC and LTC deals I did.
I have 600th btc and 10gh LTC
I get ½ the coins the other ½ goes to power

so 300th for BTC  and 5 gh for LTC  is decent money. Not enough to live on.

you've definitely got the right attitude, I think we need to consistently remind ourselves this is more of a hobby and if our hobby pays for itself and a little extra.. we are doing good lol

In the past whenever people were mining as a hobby, usually got enormous payouts if they held most of their coins.

Like the people who CPU mined BTC back in 2009-2010, definately not for profits and difficulty was very low.

Same with the people who GPU mined ETH back in Q4 2015, back then you could of made like 1 ETH per GPU per day and nobody was mining back then because it looked like ETH was a fad that was going to $0.

This might be a repeat however in my opinion, and if BTC ever hit $50000 and ETH hits $2000 then the payouts would of been worth it. However the cycle has to stop sometime.

Bingo!! Ppl who cry about low profits are dumping daily or on small pumps and crying about mining being dead

Why don’t u hold your crypto for a couple of years then see what your profits are

If btc hits $50k, eth will hit $6k and a possible 10k. Trolls will look in the past and say "why did I not buy eth when it was $170?, how stupid I was" hehe

Those trolls are hopeless.

This might be a repeat however in my opinion, and if BTC ever hit $50000 and ETH hits $2000 then the payouts would of been worth it. However the cycle has to stop sometime.

And I believe that in the coming years Bitcoin will cost $ 50,000 and Ethereum at $ 6,000 to 10,000 dollars. And those who do not buy or will mine today will regret it tomorrow.
