Message to all new Moonies:

Please check this first, to get the basic info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389403.msg9456299#msg9456299

We are working on the new wallet; that will fix some minor issues.
If your newly installed wallet doesn't connect immediately, please read the relevant section ("Configuration/nodes") in the mentioned posting above. This will be fixed with the updated wallet, btw.

Please download and use the wallet. Don't leave too big amounts on exchanges, if you don't plan to trade.

Have fun with Mooncoin!  Smiley

I don't know who you are; but guess you might help me with MoonCoin wallet issue. I did all kind of troubleshooting to fix my wallet to  sync; however everything failed.

When I start my wallet I get error "No Block Source Available".

I remember that you asked already. Some people here tried to help you, IIRC.
I can only imagine that you have some kind of firewall-issue. Because normally the wallet connects immediately, if you use the linked peers.dat or add a mooncoin.conf with current nodes into the Mooncoin-wallet's folder.

Try these current peers of my wallet:

addnode=198.50.148.134
addnode=107.150.38.154
addnode=198.27.80.162
addnode=162.243.57.246
addnode=24.182.115.122
addnode=178.33.116.119
addnode=188.165.2.147

Here are the instructions (copy/paste from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=389403.msg9456299#msg9456299 ):

---
Configuration/nodes

Seeds are normally done via DNS. You should not need to do any manual addnode commands. But since the current wallet has old seed-nodes encoded into it, which are now offline, it can - and most probably will - happen, that your newly installed wallet doesn't connect automatically to the network (one main reason, why we have to update the wallet, btw.). In this case, please use this peers.dat and replace the existing peers.dat (it's in the same folder, where your wallet.dat is: c:\users\yourusername\appdata\roaming\mooncoin\), restart your wallet and it should connect fast. Alternatively you could create a file called mooncoin.conf in that folder and use the following as contents:

addnode=5.45.105.66
addnode=moonchain.net
addnode=multipool.us (multipool.us-operator informed us, that he does not run a public node)
addnode=moon.bitember.com
addnode=cryptsy.com
addnode=swisscex.com

Again, restart the wallet, and it should connect after a short time.
If that does not get you going either, please post into the thread, to get other current addnodes to try out.
---

Keep in mind to open port 44664 on your firewall and router.

One question: Where do live? Maybe your ISP blocks this kind of traffic? Have you contacted them, if nothing of the above helps?

Im agree, the beginnings of the coin were HUGE mining no multipool and dumping on markets where REAL investors taking them, from 30 satoshi (like me) (i bought MANY bitcoins in mooncoins at those prices) and going down and down and down. Many little investors take 1 million, 10, 100, etc... there is right now more than 9 millions of wallets.

But after the cuts in the block rewards, that everyday dumping was less and less and less, and people who trust on MOON, still there... What happened? the price begins to raise because dumping from mining was almost nothing and people who wants MOON was buying more and more everyday.
And all of us know that Mooncoin is amazing and must come back to satoshi market, because that is its CORRECT place.

The spread of the coins is HUGE!, and will be more and more everyday that dumpers, go out from the train, each day you sell, are selling to a HUGE amount of little investors who trust on the coin and want to USE IT. Like me.

My HOT dream is to have the option and possibility to buy things in MOONs, donate for projects in MOONs, like spread Astrology study, like payment processor for ecommerces in MOONs, wallets for android, IOS, etc... backup websites, backup block explorer, etc etc...

I will love when we will be at 20-30 satoshi to donate 1 Billion of MOONs in order to buy telescopes for Universities and spread the observation of the space. Because when you see our MOON, or the stars you understand how tiny are us... and the problems you have are a little tiny thing, and well... don't care about so much things our EGOs created...

LONG LIFE MOONCOIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TO THE MOON!!!!!!!!!!!

Shit.. Moon is going ballistic! I'm glad I put my seat belt on  Shocked Shocked Shocked

WTF? Mooncoin making a comeback?Huh

From my experience of 3 years hanging around in a church. I have learned the most important lesson in life, " Human foolishness has no limitation". Read "the brief history of mooncoin" 3 pages before this

My hope for moon is two primary points:

1. We crowd fund an actual moon base after we pass Doge.

2. the big one... Build a second moon !

I think the way Moon is going we can get there pretty quickly.

The same procedure as I explained you the last time: Just delete the directory (see above) and the wallet's exe-file.
I really think you have a serious problem with your system if you can't get the wallet working. Did you try it on another computer? You did not answer the question about where you live and whether you asked your provider to check, if they are causing the problem.
