It's weird... It's now like any other website in the world.
It screws me a bit, I'm used to hitting refresh then switching tabs and come check prices later. Now I hit refresh and I don't have time to switch tabs. I feel like I lose efficiency! Haha

I've gotta get caught up and fix my main build machine. I had an SSD failure. One thing older SSD drive does not like is power "brownout". I think newer SSD has better firmware logic to handle better. So, we had adjusted the mining to pull it back down and stretch it out. We can adjust it again to bump it up a little and try to strike the balance this time. But however we do it, I don't want to do another hardfork again for awhile so we better get it right this time What I was thinking is we could package it up with the beta release of the new wallet as some kind of relaunch or something. I got some high quality art of the logo from Snotty to put in the new wallet. I've removed all existing Qt artwork etc. from the new wallet. So there is nothing compelling a source release of it for awhile and I'll probably sit on it for 3-6 months to give us some lead time. Once the surrounding ecosystem starts to come online it will be a lot harder for anyone to try to replicate. It is a tricky spot to be in though, because there is something to be said for the whole idea of open source and contributing some advancement back to the collective body of knowledge etc. I think we can strike a balance here too.

I don't think closed source will be good, haters gonna say the wallet did something wrong to their computers, while if it's open source everyone can look at source and compile. Of course other coins will use the wallet. But they will only have the wallet not the infrastructure particle will have to support the app's.
Just let it be one wallet with gui and secend without(but with open source code). If someone is paranoid and affriad he should still use open source no gui wallet that would enough.

Good moonmoon, make a poll and allow us to vote, I think everyone agrees, but just to make things transparent.

Today, some 6 hours ago I received a series of small amounts. It was like 1, 1, 1, 1, 0.6, 0.1, 0.1, 0.06, 0.003 PRT. All of those within 2 minutes. I wasn't mining anywhere other than usual pool, and wasn't expecting any amount until payout from pool (which is set to 10k PRT). Nothing unusual in block explorer for those transactions. Someone sent them, but who and why? Can someone explain? Thanks.

Welcome back Moonmoon!
I know exactly what your talking about with brownouts and SSD's. I got some of the first gen 240GB SSD's from Intel and OCZ and they lasted through 2 brown outs before crapping out on me! Thankfully they were under warranty and i got them replaced free of charge!
I really like the idea of two wallet releases since it is a shady area. The biggest thing is even if your the creator, if you dont have the backbone support, someone can easily swipe up the code and if they have a large team, they could easily surpass us with apps in the app store and put us down.
I also love Snotty's art work! I think that so far as won ESPECIALLY with the splash startup screen that Coinrudar made! I hope we get that implemented in the wallet! Would definately add another thing that makes Particle stand out compared to other coins! Just another thing to add to the list of why PRT is better:)

So Particle shows question marks at http://coinmarketcap.com/ again. Who's responsible for that? Some webservice offline?

It normally means the block explorer is not working (or exchange but that is more rare)

Also PRT got bit dumped in CoinedUp. Easy little money for some, for others another chance (maybe the last ) to buy in more for smaller price

Hey, it's daily annoying call for PRT gamblers! Is your lucky number 8? 80 PRT awaits! https://altsino.com/game/lucky9/5/And I'm super interested to see what bets were placed in this one https://altsino.com/game/lucky9/7/ (and if the bank will move to another rouuuund!) --- On the less promo-y side, I was really busy this week so no new updates in this gambling project. I really need some feedback and more active testers-players to keep me motivated enough, since I really don't see this as a profitable project, more of a fun hobby. If you'd like to test it, but don't want to spend even as little as 10-20 PRT, create an account, then deposit wallet for PRT and send me a PM with address of it. I'll credit you 50 PRT of my own, enough for 5-10 bets or more if you're lucky

Note sure it is good to add PRT to more exchanges? Unless of course it is a major exchange like cryptsy or bter... Indeed, the volume of exchange is currently very low on coinedup and adding more exchanges will dilute it more. This way the price won't go up. Now that coinedup has "decent" speed, I am happy to trade there until volume goes up.

HE DID IT ALL THE TIME TO VOTE 3rd place after BTC AND LTC this very well Note sure it is good to add PRT to more exchanges? Unless of course it is a major exchange like cryptsy or bter... Indeed, the volume of exchange is currently very low on coinedup and adding more exchanges will dilute it more. This way the price won't go up. Now that coinedup has "decent" speed, I am happy to trade there until volume goes up. This is true. While being in more exchanges adds a bit more exposure, Particle needs more interest than that. swisscex.com is an awesome exchange, fast, great looking, amazing UI with constant improvements (I tweeted them some ideas, one got implemented instantly, other will roll out with the next update), but PRT market is completely stale.
